Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily adjust the rotation-directional position of an optical fiber by providing one ferrule with a mechanism capable of adjusting the other ferrule while the couple of ferrules are fixed abutting on each other. CONSTITUTION:This connector is equipped with the couple of ferrules 12 and 13 wherein optical fiber cables 10 and 10', and 11 and 11' are held, an adapter 14 which arrays those ferrules 12 and 13 fixedly, cap nuts 15 and 15' for clamping, a spring 17 which presses one ferrule 13, and washers 16 and 16'. Then, the ferrules 12 and 13 are inserted into the adapter 14 until their end surfaces abut on each other; and one ferrule 12 is clamped with the cap nut 15, and the other ferrule 13 is clamped with the cap nut 15' through the washer 16, spring 17, and washer 16'.
