Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the floor space required for a printer and facilitate carrying the printer, by a method wherein component parts are contained and fixed in an upright-type casing in a specified arrangement condition. CONSTITUTION:The casing 1 having a height larger than the depth thereof, having a bottom face area smaller than the front face area and fitted with bases 9 at four corners of the bottom face is constituted by connecting a front casing 2 and a rear casing 3. A sprocket 13, a platen 14, a dot printing head 15 and a carrier 17 supporting a ribbon cassette 16 are provided on the front face side of the casing 1. A power source block 18 is fixed at the right of a lower part on the rear face side of the casing 1, and a PC plate 19 is fitted on the rear face side of the casing 1. A paper-feeding motor 20 is fitted on the left side of an intermediate part in the depth direction of the casing 1, and a carrier motor 21 is fitted on the right side of an intermediate part in the depth direction and the height direction of the casing 1.
