Conventionally, for dental treatment instruments such as handpieces, when irradiating light from the tip head, a long optical fiber is used to guide the light between the external light source and the tip of the dental treatment instrument. By emitting light, the light was irradiated from the tip of the dental treatment instrument.

However, with this configuration, the entire treatment device becomes expensive because a considerable length of optical fiber must be used, and there is also a large loss of light. In the structure in which the joint members are connected in a separable manner, there are drawbacks such as a complicated means for connecting the optical fibers.

Furthermore, in order to prevent the flexible hose from twisting during operation of the conventional treatment device body, or to prevent the twisting from impairing the operability of the treatment device body, the treatment device body and the joint member from which the flexible hose is led out are connected. A connecting means for rotatably connecting and attaching/detachable is known, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 51-99994, but this configuration has the drawback that the connection operation is inconvenient.

Usually, the inclined step portion 21 is the same as the slide ring 1.
3, and is brought into contact with the exposed portion of the steel ball 19 that is received in the large diameter portion 20 by the elasticity of the coil spring 16,
This prevents the operating ring 14 from detaching forward from the external intubation tube 12. In addition, the slide ring 13
The rear end has an inner flange 23 that protrudes inward, and this inner flange 23 normally comes into contact with a stopper ring 24 provided on the outer periphery of the insertion cylinder 10 to prevent it from coming off forward. .
Inside the insertion cylinder 10, there are provided an air supply path 25 and a water supply channel 26 that are open at the tip and communicate with the piping system 2 of the main body A as appropriate, and a power cord 27 for insertion is provided in the center. Then, the connecting tube 6 connects the slide ring 13 to the coil spring 17.
The steel ball 19 is pressed against the annular groove 7 provided in the connecting tube 6.
At the same time, the inclined stepped portion 21 of the operating ring 14 is removed from the steel ball 19, so that the operating ring 14
moves forward, and the outer surface of the steel ball 19 is pressed by the small diameter portion 22, so that the engagement state between the steel ball 19 and the annular groove 7 is ensured, and the stopper 34 comes into contact with the steel ball 19. In this way, the insertion tube 10 is rotatably fitted into the insertion tube 4 via the O-ring 9, and the outer tube 12 is rotatably connected to the connection tube 6 via the steel ball 19. Furthermore, within the through hole 4b, the rear end surface of the optical fiber 1 and the electric wire 30 face each other. The pressurized air from the air supply hose 32'' is supplied to the main body A through the air supply path 25, and the water from the water supply hose 3'' is supplied to the main body A through the supply channel 26, and the light is turned on through the power cord 27. The light from the light bulb 30 passes through the optical fiber 1 and reaches the tip of the main body A, illuminating the affected area in the oral cavity.

Along with this pulling operation, the slide ring 13 is moved forward by the coil spring 17 and pushes up the steel ball 19 again with its outer peripheral surface, and the steel ball 19 and the inclined stepped portion 21 come into contact with each other while the operating ring 14 is retracted. Then, as shown in FIG.
and the insertion cylinder 10 are now in a state where they can be fitted. Since this invention is configured as described above, the connection and separation operations between the main body and the joint member provided with the flexible hose can be performed extremely easily, which is convenient for replacing light bulbs, etc. At the same time, there is no fear that the flexible hose will be twisted regardless of how the main body is used, and treatment operations using the main body are therefore easy.In addition, an optical fiber is installed on the main body side, and a light bulb that supplies light is installed on the joint member side. As a result, the optical fiber can be shortened, the structure of the light guide system can be simplified, the product can be obtained at low cost, and the lighting effect can be improved.
