This consists of a cam 2, a journal 3, and a flange 4 for attaching a force sprocket inserted into a steel pipe 1 serving as a shaft, and by applying hydraulic pressure inside the steel pipe 1 by bulging, these parts are fixed. In order to prevent the cam 2, journal 3, and flange 4 from rotating, protrusions and recesses are formed in each of these mounting holes in advance so that a portion of the steel pipe 1 will fit into these protrusions and recesses. Figure 2 shows an example of this.

This involves inserting a cam 2 having a mounting hole with rounded corners into a round steel pipe 1, and interposing this cam 2 between bulging molds 5 and 6 to hold the cam 2 so that it does not break when pressurized. The structure is such that hydraulic pressure is applied to the inside of the steel pipe 1 to expand it, and a part of it extends to every corner behind the mounting hole. Note that the journal 3 and flange 4 can also be attached in the same manner. (For example, Utility Model No. 52-461
However, in such a conventional method for forming a pipe-type camshaft, when a material such as cast iron, Akatsuki alloy, or ceramic with low elongation is used for the cam 2, machining errors of the cam 2 may occur. Minute mold 5,
6 was enlarged with a margin, a gap 7 was created between the cam 2 and the molds 5 and 6 as shown in FIG. Therefore, due to the gap 7, a force exceeding the allowable stress is applied to the cam 2 during bulge forming, resulting in a problem that the cam 2 is damaged. Further, in order to prevent the gap 7 from occurring in the cam 2, it is necessary to tighten the dimensional accuracy of the cam 2 and the molds 5 and 6, which leads to a practical problem of increased costs. The present invention has been made by focusing on the problem of such a secondary structure, and includes providing a rotation prevention portion consisting of a concave portion or a convex portion on one or both of a metal pipe and a capital material such as a cam inserted into the metal pipe, A pipe-type camshaft that prevents breakage of the members and makes the dimensional accuracy of the mold relatively rough by interposing a stress buffer material between them and pressurizing the inside of the metal pipe by bulge processing. This provides a molding method.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, the steel/guipoo into which this cam 2 is inserted has a recess la formed in its longitudinal direction as a rotation prevention means at a position corresponding to the protrusion sha. Note that the recess la may be provided over the entire length of the steel pipe, but it may also be provided only at the attachment site of the cam 2. Next, the cam 2 shown in FIG. 3 is inserted into the same molds 5 and 6 as described above, and the pipe 1 shown in FIG. 4 is inserted into the mounting hole of the cam 2 as shown in FIG. 5. . At this time, the convex portion 2b and the concave portion la are made to correspond to each other. Also, what is important here is that a pipe-shaped buffer member 8 as shown in FIG. It consists of a movable member with a rigidity of . This state is shown in FIG. Next, hydraulic pressure is applied inside the steel pipe 1 and bulge work begins. Then, the steel pipe 1 is expanded and tensioned, and the convex portion 2b of the cam 2 and the concave portion la of the steel/guipure are pressed together via the buffer member 2. Ao, although not shown, the journal 3
A similar method is also adopted for attaching the flange 4 and the flange 4.
In this way, by interposing the buffer member 8 between the steel pipe and the cam 2, there will be no locally high stress area on the cam 2 during bulge forming, and even if the cam 2 and the mold 5, Even if there is a gap 7 between the cam 2 and the cam 2, the cam 2 is completely prevented from being damaged.

In this way, the dimensional accuracy of the cam 2 and the molds 5 and 6 can be made rough. In addition, in order to bring the steel pipe 1 into close contact with the cam 2, it is necessary to expand the steel pipe 1 to a large extent in anticipation of springback, and at this time, the cam 2 does not undergo elastic deformation, so the stress exceeds the allowable stress. However, as mentioned above, by interposing the buffer member 8, this is elastically deformed, and the cam 2 is able to make the L cam 2, the elastic member 8, and the steel pipe 1 close together without exceeding the allowable stress. can.

In this case, in order to prevent insufficient fixation between the cam 2 and the steel/guip due to the presence of the buffer member 8, the rigidity of the buffer member 8 and the depth of the convex portion and recess portion la should be adjusted appropriately. It is necessary to select.

7 and 8 are side views showing other embodiments of the cam 2 and the steel pipe 1, in which a large number of teeth 9 are formed on the inner periphery of the mounting hole of the cam 2 as rotation prevention means, and the steel pipe 1 is Guipoo has a large number of continuous curved surfaces 10 formed therein. Cam 2
According to the cam 2 and the steel pipe, by pressurizing the inside of the steel pipe through the buffer member 8, the biting of the cam 2 and the steel pipe into the buffer member 8 becomes better, and as described above, The effect of this can be obtained. In Fig. 9, a recess 11 is provided only in the mounting hole of the cam 2, and a round steel pipe 2 similar to that shown in Fig. 2 is used as the steel pipe 1, and the same as shown in Fig. 10 is formed by bulge processing. In this structure, a steel pipe 1 and a cam 2 are connected via a buffer section 8.

In this way, in each embodiment, at least one of the cam 2 or the steel pipe to which it is attached is formed with a convex part or a concave part to restrict mutual rotation, and the cam 2 and the steel pipe 1 are By bulging the steel pipe 1 through the buffer village 8, the steel pipe 1 can be removed without damaging the cam 2.

In addition, although the installation of the cam 2 has been explained in each of the above embodiments, it goes without saying that the same method can be adopted for the installation of the journal 3, flange 4, and other members. Also, in place of the steel pipe 1, Metal pipes such as stainless steel pipes and aluminum pipes can be used.
As explained above, according to the present invention, ``a pipe-type camshaft is provided with a rotation preventing portion such as a concave portion or a convex portion on one or both of a metal pipe and a portion such as a cam inserted into the metal pipe, and By interposing stress buffering material between these metal pipes and the material and expanding the metal pipe through bulge processing, even if there is a gap between the bulge processing mold and the member, the The material will not be deformed or destroyed, and the dimensional accuracy of the molds and parts can be made rougher, resulting in a significant reduction in the manufacturing cost of the camshaft.
