Further, the holding torque-displacement characteristic can be considered to be approximately a straight line near the stable point, as shown in FIG. In addition, in FIG. 1, the torque at the displacement point 8a is Ta.
Here, Ta/8a increases as the motor rated torque and the current flow increase, but if the required positioning accuracy is 8c and the load friction is Tr, then Tf<Ta
・The motor must be a pulse motor that satisfies this formula.

In devices that use this pulse motor for positioning, the stop time is longer than the drive time, so in principle, the pulse motor should be used at less than the rated value when stopped. Therefore, if high-precision positioning is required, a pulse motor with large torque must be selected, but conventionally, the above design philosophy can be applied even when high-precision positioning is required for a very short time. Because a motor with a higher torque than necessary is selected, the pulse motor has a large shape, is heavy, and becomes expensive, which is a major obstacle to miniaturization and economicalization, and also reduces consumption. It had the disadvantage of requiring a large amount of power and a large capacity power supply. In order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional example described above, the present invention reduces the current during steady state maintenance and achieves high precision when the time when high precision positioning is required is a limited time during stoppage. The present invention provides a positioning control system using a pulse motor, which is characterized in that the current of the motor is pulsed in a large current at the moment when positioning is required, thereby achieving highly accurate positioning.

First, the pulse motor 8 is driven by sequentially applying pulses to the terminals 10, 11, 12, and 13 to perform phase switching. When the motor is stopped, one of the transistors 4, 5, 6, and 7 becomes conductive, and the positioning of the excited torque is performed. Furthermore, when a pulse is applied to the terminal 9 to apply a high voltage when stopping, the torque of the pulse motor 8 increases from Ta shown in Fig. 3 to Tb, and the positioning accuracy at this time is high within the range shown by the above formula. Accuracy. When applying the present invention configured as described above to a paper tape reader or puncher for feeding the tape, it is sufficient that high-precision positioning can be achieved during the information reading time of the reader and the punching time of the puncher. Therefore, in a paper tape puncher, by applying a high voltage during the time when the punching pin is in contact with the paper tape (about 5 seconds), the 3 s.
It is possible to achieve the high precision positioning required only by time, and in the same way with paper tape readers, by applying a high voltage during the time to sense information (about 1 s), high voltage can be achieved at the required time. Accurate positioning can be achieved.

As mentioned above, since the time when high voltage is applied to the pulse motor is pulsed, the heat generation of the motor is reduced, and it is possible to instantaneously flow several times the rated current, which improves the characteristics of the pulse motor. can be used to the fullest.

The present invention is also applicable to intermittent drive systems that require instantaneous and highly accurate positioning, such as tape feeding in paper zero tape readers, tape feeding in paper tape punchers, and print head feeding in printers. It is effective in such fields. As explained above, according to the present invention, when positioning is performed using a pulse motor and high accuracy is not required regularly, high voltage is applied to the stop excitation phase only for the necessary time. By aiming for high-precision positioning, the characteristics of the pulse motor can be utilized beyond the rated value, so when selecting a motor, the requirements can be met with a motor with a lower rating than that of the secondary type, making it possible to downsize the motor used, This method has the advantage of being economical, and since a pulsed high voltage is applied, power consumption can be reduced.
