Abstract

PURPOSE:To prolong the usable period of a filter bag greatly by partitioning the filter bag into at least two, and arranging one section area and toner suction force oppositely to each other. CONSTITUTION:Toner scraped with a brush 10 is collected to the side of the filter bag 20 by the operation of a sucking means 14 through the suction port 11-1 of a casing 11. In this case, the toner is collected principally to the side of the 1st chamber 21 of the filter bag 20 which faces the suction port 11-1. On the other hand, the banking of the toner in the 2nd chamber 22 is reduced extremly and suction air flows through the chamber 22. Consequently, the toner is collected in the chamber 21 and the suction force for the collection is compensated in the chamber 22 to make a decrease in the air capacity of suction force hard to occur on the whole of the filter bag 20, so that the high-efficiency toner collection is expected. The improvement of the efficiency reduces the bag 20 in width, and the life of a filter function is prolonged greatly when the size of the filter bag 20 is the same.

<Prior Art> In an electrophotographic copying machine, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, a photoreceptor 1 having a photoconductive layer is formed in the shape of a drum, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is charged with a charger 2, and is electrified with an exposure section 3. An electrostatic latent image is formed by performing imagewise exposure, and the electrostatic latent image is visualized as a toner image by a magnetic brush developing device 4. The toner image on the photoreceptor 1 is transferred by a transfer device 6 onto a transfer material 5 such as paper that is conveyed along a conveyance path by a conveyance roller, and is fixed onto the transfer material through a heat fixing roller. On the other hand, photoreceptor 1
After the transfer, the developer passes through a static eliminator 7 disposed opposite to eliminate residual charges, and a cleaning device 8 cleans the remaining developer to prepare for the next image formation. If necessary, the photoreceptor 1 is irradiated with light by a lamp 9 to make the surface condition uniform after cleaning.

2. When the toner image formed on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is transferred to a transfer material such as paper, generally 60 to 80% is transferred. Then, 20 to 40% of the toner remains on the surface of the photoreceptor 1, and how much of it is deposited on the surface of the photoreceptor 1. As means for removing this residual toner, a nib, a blade, a fur brush as shown in FIG. 1, etc. are well known.

The surface of the drum-shaped photoreceptor 1 is made of a photoconductive substance such as selenium, and does not have a large resistance to wear and scratches, which is a major factor in damaging the photoreceptor. It becomes. Therefore, although a web type or grade type cleaning device 8 has the advantage of being simple, small, and inexpensive, it is difficult to directly clean the surface of the photoreceptor 1 by pressing it against the surface of the photoreceptor 1 with mechanical pressure. However, it has the disadvantage that the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is easily damaged.

The developer is composed of an iron powder carrier having an acute angle of 150 to 400 meshes and toner as a colored toner. Therefore, when an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a photoreceptor is visualized, not only toner but also some carrier is attached to the surface of the photoreceptor. When this adhered carrier is cleaned in the cleaning section, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 will be more likely to be damaged.

On the other hand, cleaning devices using fur brushes
This is a cleaning method that causes relatively less damage to easily damaged photoreceptors such as selenium. This cleaning device using a fur brush is as shown in Figure 1.
A rotationally driven bristle brush 10 is provided in a casing 11, and its plan 1° is brought into sliding contact with the photoreceptor 1 to remove residual toner.

The toner adhering to the brush 10 is scraped off by scraping C provided after contact with the photoreceptor 1. The toner is collected into the filter bag 13 by applying the suction force of the suction means 14 through the filter bag 13 connected to the casing 11.

Here, regarding the state of the toner 15 in the filter bag 13, the largest amount of toner is accumulated on the wall surface 13-1 facing the filter bag entrance, especially in the P section. This seems to be natural considering the wind flow generated by the 100 revolutions of the brush and the wind generated by the suction means 14.

Therefore, if the 1-toner spreads over the entire filter bag 13, the suction force of the suction means 14 will be greatly reduced due to problems such as clogging, and the toner scraped off by the far plan 10 cannot be collected into the filter bag 13.

That is, the filter bag 20 has a partition plate 19 disposed in the central part of the filter bag 20 as shown in the figure.
A chamber 21 and a second chamber 22 are separated. The partition plate 19 does not completely divide the inside of the filter bag 20 into two,
It has a communication part 23 that communicates the first chamber 21 and the second chamber 22. In particular, one of the chambers divided by the partition plate 19, for example, the first chamber 21, is positioned so as to face the suction port 11-1 of the casing 11. The material for the partition plate 19 is preferably a breathable material similar to that of the filter bag 20.

With the above-described structure, by the action of the suction means 14, the particles scraped off by the brush 10 are collected to the filter bag 20 side through the suction port 11-1 of the casing 11. In this case, toner is mainly collected intensively on the first chamber 21 side of the filter bag 20 facing the suction port 11-1. On the other hand, very little toner accumulates in the second chamber 22, and suction air flows through the second chamber 22. Therefore, the toner is collected in the first chamber 21, and the suction force of this collection reservoir is compensated in the second chamber 22, and when looking at the filter bag 20 as a whole, the suction force is less likely to decrease in air volume, and more efficient toner can be collected. The recovery effect can be expected. Due to this improvement in efficiency, if the filter bag has the same lifespan as a conventional filter bag, the bung 20 itself can be made smaller in width compared to the conventional filter bag, and if the filter bag 20 is the same size, the life span of the filter function can be increased. Can be extended to width.

Further, FIG. 3 shows another specific example of the present invention, in particular, the cleaning part casing 11 and filter bag 2.
This cleaning device has a structure in which a suction means 24 is provided between the cleaning device and the cleaning device. In the figure, 25 is an air duct for connecting the respective air passages. Even in this configuration, Plan 1
The toner scraped off at 0 is collected into the filter bag '20 through the suction means 24. At this time, since the filter bag 20 is divided into two by the partition plate 19, the toner is concentrated in one first chamber 21 and collected.

<Effects of the Invention> According to the cleaning device of the present invention, in a structure in which toner is collected in a filter bag, the filter bag is divided into at least two parts, and one divided area and the toner suction force are arranged to face each other. Since the toner is concentrated in one area and collected, the suction force is compensated for in the other area, which increases the toner collection effect and allows it to be used for a long time. .

As a result, the filter bag can be expected to be significantly smaller in size or have a longer service life.
