PURPOSE:To assuredly separate and feed a substrate by intermittently lifting up the rear portion of a print substrate loaded on a conveyer by rotation of a roller having a cam mechanism so that the leading end portion of the substrate is thrown between the conveyer and a screen as a reaction. CONSTITUTION:A substrate feeder for seperating and feeding vertically stacked flat print substrates sheet by sheet includes a conveyer 1 for lading a substrate 4 thereon and moving the substrate 4 along the substrate surface by friction with the substrate 4 produced by dead load of the substrate, and a screen 2 having a space with the conveyer which can permit only one sheet of substrate to pass therethrough. Further, a substrate push-up mechanism 3 comprising a roller with a cam mechanism for intermittently lifting up the rear portion of the substrate is disposed in the rear of the conveyer 1. ストンで基板後部を押し上げるものでもよく、総称して
