べき所定のトラックアングルを示す如き記録跡、あるい
は前記した所定のテープ巻付角を示すようにヘッドシリ
ンダへ巻回された状態で走行している磁気テープに記録
形成されている所定のトラックアングルを示す如き記録
跡と一致する如き軌跡を描くように所定のへリツクスア
ングルによ乞軌跡を描いて回転する磁気ヘッドと、磁気
テープの走行方向を順逆の両方向に切換える手段と、前
記の磁気テープの走行方向の順逆の切換えと対応して、
−磁気ヘツ゛ドの回転方向を順逆に切換える手段と、磁
気テープが順方向に走行するようになされる際には磁気
テープの巾方向における一側端部から中央部付近までの
領域が記録再生に使用されるように、また、磁気テープ
が逆方向に走行するようになされる際には磁気テープの
巾方向における他側端部から中央部付近までの領域が記
録再生に使用されるように、磁気ヘッド、によるＰＣＭ
