PURPOSE:To obtain superior developer feeding performance and realize long-time use without destruction by constituting a layer forming member for a developer in such a way that a control member with a 1-20mm. radius of curvature is fitted to an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:The semicylindrical control member 6 having a 5mm. radius of curvature is adhered to the front edge of an elastic blade with 0.2mm. thickness to constitute the layer forming member for the developer 7'. The nonmagnetic single-component developer 7 in a housing 1 forms the developer layer 7' having specific thikness and density by the control member 6. In this case, when the radius of curvature of the control member 6 is 1-20mm., the superior developer feeding performance is obtained. Further, when the layer forming member like this is used, there is no destruction even after >=200,000 copies are taken, and longtime use is possible.
