Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inductor element with a stable quality with a high productivity by a method wherein bumps are formed on a continuous conductor with a certain interval and ferrite powder with a binder of thermosetting resin or thermoplastic resin is attached around each bump and subjected to a compression molding into a bead shape and cured and the conductor is cut into pieces each of which contains one bead. CONSTITUTION:A bump 12 is formed by upper and lower punches 20 on a conductor 11 supplied from the direction of an arrow 10. The conductor 11 is transferred into a ferrite bead molding die 22 and when the bump 12 is positioned in the die 22 the conductor 11 is temporarily stopped. A mixture of a resin binder and ferrite powder is supplied into the die 22 by a piston 23 and a required bead shape 13 is obtained by a compression molding. Then the bead shape molded part is transferred into a heating furnace 25 and cured and drawn out. The conductor 11 is cut by a cutter 26 into pieces each of which contains one completely cured bead 14.

A ferrite bead inductor, which is used as an effective inductor element to connect a magnetic conductor with IMH7,1>IP, is made by inserting a conductor wire 2 into a cylindrical ferrite bead 1, as shown in Figure 1. However, two different methods are used to fix this ferrite bead to the conductor.

この固定方法の代表的な例を第2図および第3図に示す
A typical example of this fixing method is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

In FIG. 2, after the conductor 2 is inserted into the ferrite bead 1, an adhesive 6 is applied to the insertion gap between the conductor 2 and the ferrite bead and on both sides of the bead, injected and hardened, or as shown in FIG. 2 is inserted, the conductive wire near both ends of the ferrite bead 1 is crushed to form protrusions 4, thereby forming a ferrite bead inductor.

However, in this method, firstly, the conductor wire is inserted through the pores of the cylindrical ferrite bead, so the conductor wire is likely to be bent during insertion, the ferrite bead may be cracked or chipped, and the adhesive must be used. Injecting a small amount causes fluctuations in the injection amount and takes time for the curing process, making it difficult to automate as the device cannot be moved during this time. Also, in the structure where the conductor is crushed as shown in Figure 6, the conductor is likely to break. .

Furthermore, since the ferrite bead is not completely fixed to the conductor, there are various problems such as the ferrite bead being susceptible to cracking or chipping due to vibration.

Here, the upper and lower notches 20 move in the direction of the arrow 21 to form a protrusion 12 on the conductor, and then the conductor is sent to the position B. Here, the ferrite bead forming mold 22 placed at position B is clamped in the direction of the arrow 24, and the piston 23 pushes the ferrite powder containing the thermosetting binder phase into the cavity of the mold 22, forming a convex shape. A ferrite bead 13 is formed around the conductive wire 11 having a ferrite bead 12 formed thereon.
