If the amount exceeds 10% by weight, more oxides will be generated, contact resistance will increase, and -14 instability will occur.

The commutator or disk is made of 3-12% by weight of AgCu or 3-121il↓%-C(15
The reason why it is composed of an alloy material of less than 4% by weight is to suppress the adhesion when sliding with the brush and improve wear resistance, and the Cu content is 3% and less than 11% by weight. If the amount exceeds 12% by weight, the amount of oxide generated during sliding will increase, resulting in high contact resistance and instability.
If the content exceeds 5%, the contact resistance becomes high (4) when it becomes oxidized Cd, and the wear resistance deteriorates. Therefore, the content of Cu is 3 to 12% by weight, and the content of Cd is not more than 5% by weight.

When substituted with Ni), the crystal grains can be made finer and the wear resistance can be further improved. If it is less than 0.01% by weight, the effect of grain refinement will not appear, and if it is less than 0.5% by weight. If it exceeds the amount, it becomes a problem for the oxide that acts as a lubricant.

Brush wire rods with a wire diameter of 0.1 vs vs. made of alloy materials of the example and conventional example shown in the left column of Table 1 below are each cut to a length of 8 mm, and two wires are placed in parallel, with one end having a width of 10 mm.
A brush was made by welding it to a base material with a thickness of 0.2 mm and bending a 2R arc-shaped contact part at the other end. On the other hand, a disk having a diameter of 50 mm was made by punching out a plate material having a thickness of (5) Q and 5 mm, which was made of an alloy material of an example and a conventional example having the composition shown in the right column of Table 1 below. Therefore, a sliding contact device was made by combining these brushes and disks, each flange was brought into contact with the disk, and a sliding test was conducted under the following test conditions by rotating the disks in forward and reverse directions to determine the wear and tear of the brushes and disks. When the contact resistance was measured, the results shown in Table 2 below were obtained.

100g Contact time = 7H (blank below) (6) [W] Table 2 As is clear from Table 2 in 1, the brushes and disks of the sliding contact devices of Examples 1 to B were the same as those of the conventional example 1. It can be seen that the amount of wear on the brush and disk of the sliding contact of No. 2 is extremely small, and the contact resistance is much lower and stable. This is simply due to the fact that the alloy material (8) constituting the brush of the sliding contact devices of Examples 1 to B has the following properties: Sb, 're, Mo, P, b, Se,
In addition, oxides such as As and Ni are generated, and this oxide acts as a lubricant, improving wear resistance. Also, since the oxide is soft, it is easily removed by sliding action, so the contact surface of the brush is This is because it is always clean and the contact resistance is further lowered. In particular, the reason why the brushes of the sliding contact devices of Examples 7 and 8 have even fewer wear bolts than the brushes of the sliding contact devices of other examples is that the material constituting the brushes contains Fe.
This is because the group elements are added and the crystal grains are finely dispersed, further improving wear resistance.

Further, this is because the Cu alloy material constituting the disks of the sliding contact devices of Examples 1 to 8 suppresses the increase in stickiness during sliding and improves wear resistance.

As detailed above, the sliding contact device of the present invention has significantly superior wear resistance of the brush and commutator or disk compared to conventional sliding contact devices, generates extremely little wear powder, and has contact resistance. It is also much lower and more stable, so it can be said to be an epoch-making device that can replace the conventional sliding (9) contact device.
