Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize light pen function in a projector type picture reproducing device by providing an irradiated position detecting image pickup means of an invisible light spot, and executing a picture plate position designating input operation by a pen type projector which can project this spot. CONSTITUTION:A transmission type projector device for executing a projection to a screen 4 from a projection tube 3 is formed. In such a case, a spot is formed on the screen by the infrared ray projected from an indicator 5, and the position of its center of gravity is detected and outputted as an X and Y coordinate values by a position detecting device 6. This indicator 5 is constituted of a light emitting element and a projection lens, and modulates projected infrared ray and projects. Also, the position detecting device 6 is constituted of an image pickup lens, PSD sensor and a controlling circuit; and the analog output of said PSD sensor is converted to a digital output through a filter 16, amplifier 17 and an A/D converter 18, and outputted as said X and Y coordinate values.
