Abstract

PURPOSE:To regulate the quantity and the distribution of ventilated air by arbitrarily varying the area of a rim duct in the bore of a rotor rim. CONSTITUTION:A duct spacer 5 is extended to the vicinity of the bore of a rotor rim 1, and a bolt hole is opened at the bore side of the spacer 5. On the other hand, a rectangular ventilation control plate 6 for regulating the area of a rim duct is mounted on the portion of the duct 2 by utilizing the bolt hole of the spacer 5. Thus, the quantity of ventilated air can be arbitrarily regulated, the axial temperature distribution of a stator winding is equalized, and the optimum quantity of the ventilated air can be obtained. Accordingly, the ventilation air loss can be reduced.

、自己ファンを取りつけた回転電機よりも、通風損失を
低減できるので広く利用されている。しかし、自己ファ
ンを持たないため、固定子巻線の軸方向温度分布、とり
わけ固定子鉄心よりはずれた巻線エンド部分の温度が高
くなるという欠点があった。このため、従来はリムダク
トの配置により、対処してきたが、いったん、ローター
リムを組立てた後の調整は、はぼ、不可能であった。ま
た、通風量が予定量より大きくなった場合、通風損失が
大きくなり、これについては対応策がないという欠点が
あった。

を任意に変えることができると、通風量および通風分布
を調整することができる。本発明は、これを達成するた
めに、図に示す従来のリムダクトスペーサをローターリ
ム内径側にまで延ばし、かつ、この内径側にあらかじめ
ボルト孔を準備しておく。一方、リムダクト面積を調整
するための短冊状の通風調整板を準備しておき、実測の
通風量に応じて、この通風調整板をダクトスペーサ内径
側のボルト孔にボルト締めすることにより目的の通風量
を得ることができる。
