Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for welding the other member after casting and to facilitate production by impregnating a high-hardness alloy on the surface of the parts where there is extreme friction in a casting stage. CONSTITUTION:Alloy particles MG having high hardness are preliminarily sprayed on the surface of the parts 4b, 4b of a casting mold 4 forming the parts where there is extremely friction with the other member and thereafter a material for a main body is cast into the mold 4. The particles MG are melted by the high heat of the material and are impregnated into the parts of the product having extreme friction. The need for the operation to reinforce said parts by welding after casting is thus eliminated and the man-hour is reduced.

Conventionally, in an axle housing 1 (for example, a rear axle housing) as shown in FIG. 1, the part 1b of the main body 1a of the cast steel part that is subject to strong friction against other members such as the leaf spring 2 while the vehicle is running is particularly sensitive. Because it is prone to wear, hardfacing welding or welding of high-hardness steel plates 3 as shown in FIG. 2 has been used. For this reason, axle housing 1
The disadvantage was that it required a lot of man-hours to manufacture and the production efficiency was low.

The present invention has been made to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, and its purpose is to impregnate the surface of the parts with high friction in the casting process of the axle housing with a high-hardness alloy. The purpose of this invention is to eliminate the need for bath contacting other members later, to facilitate manufacturing of the axle housing, and to improve production efficiency.

In short, the present invention is based on the fact that the surface of the part of the cast steel main body that rubs violently against other members such as leaf springs is impregnated with a high-hardness alloy. Furthermore, the method of the present invention is a method for manufacturing an axle housing having a part of a cast steel body that rubs violently against other members such as a leaf spring, in which high hardness alloy grains are added to the surface of a mold forming the part. Spread it and
After that, the material for the main body is cast into the mold, and the high-hardness alloy is melted by the high heat of the material and impregnated into the part.

The present invention will be explained below based on embodiments shown in the drawings. Third
The figure shows an enlarged view of the main part of the axle housing 11 of the present invention, that is, the part 11L+ of the cast steel main body that rubs violently against other members 2 (Fig. 1) such as leaf springs. The surface of the portion 11b is impregnated with a high hardness alloy M. As the high hardness alloy M, iron-molybdenum alloy (Fe Mo), iron-based OA gold alloy Fe

High-hardness alloy grains MG are scattered on the surface of the mold 4b, and then the material for the main body 11a is cast into the mold in the usual manner. Then, the high hardness alloy particles MG are melted by the high heat of the material and impregnated into the part 11b of the axle housing 11, which is the product.

The present invention is configured as described above, and its operation will be explained below. Since the casting of the axle housing 11 is completed with the high-friction portion 11b impregnated with the high-hardness alloy M, there is no need to perform welding to reinforce the portion after casting9, which saves man-hours. Furthermore, the friction portion 111) of the axle housing 11 impregnated with a high-hardness alloy will not wear out even if it rubs against another member 2, such as a leaf spring, because the high-hardness alloy MO impregnated on the surface has high wear resistance. Moreover, even if it wears out to some extent, a new high-hardness alloy M appears on the surface, so high hardness is maintained for a long period of time.
