Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-reliability disk while improving adhesive strength by putting a substrate which has a recessed part formed previously at the inner circumferential end of a center hole in a surface where a recording medium layer is formed and a protection plate having a recessed part similarly opposed to each other, and charging an adhesive and sticking the both together. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet curing resin layer 2 and the recording medium layer 3 are provided on the top surface of the disk substrate 1, and the recessed part 8 is formed at the inner circumferential end of the center hole 6. On the other hand, a recessed part 9 is formed at the inner circumferential end of the center hole 6 of the protection plate 5 similarly, and adhesives are charged even in the recessed parts 8 and 9 when both plates 1 and 5 are stuck together through an adhesive layer 4. Thus, the adhesive strength is improved to prevent the plates 1 and 5 from separating from each other. Further, recessed parts 11 may be formed in the plates 1 and 5 even at the outer circumferential end parts of the disk and charged with an adhesive to increase the adhesive strength. Furthermore, they may be fixed by providing a surface coating layer 7 to both plates 1 and 5 including the outer circumferential end surface parts.

Structure of conventional example and its problems Conventionally, a recording medium layer is provided on one side of a disc-shaped transparent substrate, and a predetermined information signal is recorded as uneven bits on the surface having the recording medium layer. An apparatus has been developed in which information is recorded and reproduced by forming a disk by irradiating a laser beam from the surface of the substrate so that the disks face each other or by bonding a protective plate to the recording medium layer.

The transparent substrate for these disks is economical,
Resin materials such as acrylic are used from the standpoint of safety and optical properties, but these resin materials have the property of warping and deforming due to changes in humidity and temperature. For this reason, a denosk with a two-layer laminated structure is susceptible to distortion due to changes in humidity and temperature during use.
It has the disadvantage that it tends to peel off due to temperature changes.

As shown in FIG. 1, the structure of a conventional disk is that an ultraviolet curing resin layer 2 that forms track grooves for guiding laser light is entirely provided on one surface of a disk substrate 1, and a recording medium layer 3 is formed thereon. are doing. In order to protect this recording medium layer 3, a protective plate 5f was bonded to each other with an adhesive layer 4 interposed therebetween.

However, in the case of such a structure, peeling tends to occur from the outer peripheral edge and the center hole edge due to the above-mentioned changes in humidity and temperature. There was a risk that important information would be lost.

Purpose of the Invention The present invention aims to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and aims to completely improve the bonding strength of the outer peripheral end face and the center hole end face, which are prone to peeling. The present invention improves the bonding strength by forming a recess in advance on the inner or outer edge of the bonding surface of the disk substrate and the protection plate and filling them with adhesive. It is a highly reliable information carrier disk.

6 is a center hole of the disk, and 7 is a coating layer of a surface hardening material that protects the surface of the recording area and is formed around the outer peripheral edge. Reference numeral 8 denotes a disk substrate-side recess provided at the inner peripheral end of the disk substrate 1, and 9 represents a protection-side recess provided at the inner peripheral end of the protection plate 5.

In the above configuration, the adhesive layer 4 is filled between the disk substrate 1 and the protection plate 5 over the entire surface, and is also formed across the disk subboard-side recess 8 and the four protection plate parts 9. As this adhesive, an ultraviolet curable material with little curing shrinkage is used. The inner peripheral edges of each substrate are firmly adhered by the adhesive layer filled in the inner peripheral edges. still,
Finishing of the center hole and outer periphery is not required after lamination. Further, the outer peripheral end surface portion is also mechanically fixed by the surface hardening coating layer 7.

FIG. 3 is a partially cutaway front sectional view of an information carrier disk in an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 3, a track groove 10 for guiding light is formed directly on the disk substrate IVC, and has a disk substrate side recess 8 and a protection plate side recess 9 at the inner peripheral end, and also at the outer peripheral end. Similar recess 11
- The entire circumference including the inner and outer peripheral ends is filled with the contact N layer 4.

In the above configuration, the inner peripheral end can obtain the same effect as the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, and the same can be said of the outer peripheral end. Note that the radial thickness of the information carrier disk in these concave portions should not be too thin to be effective, so a thickness of about 1 audiometer was appropriate, and the width of the information carrier disk in the thickness direction should also be the same. If it was too large, it would have no effect, and it was appropriate to set it to about half of the information carrier disk substrate.

In the above example, an information carrier disk having a structure in which a recording medium layer was provided on only one of the disk-shaped substrates was shown, but it was also possible to have a recording medium layer on both disk-shaped substrates and bond them together facing each other. The present invention can be applied not only to information carrier disks but also to information carrier disks having a two-sheet laminated structure, such as information carrier disks on which predetermined information signals are recorded as uneven bits. When recording medium layers are provided on both disc-shaped substrates, one serves as a protective plate for the other.
