Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a travelling machine to run freely on a running surface even such as a rising surface, a ceilling surface, etc. made of magnetic materials, by attaching magnets, respectively to both sides of each of connecting pieces which are pivotally coupled together to form an endless track member for the travelling machine. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of connecting pieces are pivotally coupled together to form an endless track member, and magnets 2 are attached, respectively to both sides of each connecting piece 1. Then, this endless track member is stretched between the front and rear rolling wheels 3 of a travelling machine. With this arrangement the travelling machine may freely run on a running surface even such as a rising surface, a ceilling surface, etc. made of magnetic materials. Accordingly, a working at a high level position may be efficiently and safely carried out.

In other words, since a magnet is attached to the outside of the connecting piece of the endless track body, it is strongly magnetically attracted to the ceiling or upright wall made of magnetic material, so it does not fall off in any running position and always remains constant. It maintains its adsorption capacity and can run stably.

By attaching a magnet to each connecting piece, each magnet can be configured independently, allowing individual control and allowing the size and number of magnets to be selected as appropriate.

Furthermore, since the magnets are attached to the endless track body, the attraction area of the magnets can be increased, and there are advantages such as being able to compensate for the drawback that the magnets have a large resistance to loads in the traveling direction and are weak against side slipping.

By driving the rolling wheels 6 inside the endless track body, the connecting pieces 1 sequentially stick to the running surface as they advance in the front, and the connecting pieces 1 and fists that were adsorbed at the back.・Although the connecting pieces 1 are peeled off one after another, there is always a constant number of connecting pieces 1. Since the fist is attracted to the running surface, the adhesion force is stable while running, and there is no danger of it falling.
