PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized pump which does not necessitate an oil chamber by installing an oil seal between a motor chamber and a pump chamber and connecting an air passage which communicates to the motor chamber to an air feeding organ, thus increasing the water sealing function and preventing the intrusion of water into the motor chamber. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned water sealind apparatus of a submersible pump, an oil seal 1 is installed between a motor chamber 2 and a pump chamber 3, and an air passage 4 which communicates to the motor chamber 2 is connected to an air feeding organ (not shown in the figure). Air is introduced into the motor chamber 2 through the air passage 4 by the interlocking between the submersible pump and the air feeding organ, when the submersible pump is driven.
