  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 印字ヘッド５を載置したキャリッジ４をプラテン２に沿
    って移動さぜつつ印字リボン７を介して印字用紙上に印
    字するシリアルプリンタにおいて、 一部が外部へループ状に延出した印字リボン７が収納さ
    れ、フレーム１における前記印字ヘッド５の移動範囲の
    一端側に装着されるリボンカセット６と、 前記フレーム１上において前記移動範囲の他端側に回動
    可能に支持され、前記印字リボン７のループ状部を案内
    するためのローラ１０を有するリボンガイド９と、 そのリボンガイド９を、前記ローラ１０がプラテン２か
    ら離間配置されるリボン装着位置と、ローラ１０がプラ
    テン２に接近配置される使用位置とのいずれか一方に選
    択的に保持するための保持手段１３と を備えたシリアルプリンタ。
