Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a molding for vehicles which is free of delamination of resin layers by a method in which a soft resin layer is formed on both sides of a deformed material, a compatible hard resin layer is formed on the outer surface, and these layers are bonded by only one adhesive. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive layer 7 for soft resin is coated on a metal strip 12 and a bright metal foil 13 subjected to a rust-proofing treatment by means of a roll coater and baked by a baking device 17. They are then molded by a roll molding machine 18 to obtain a deformed metal part 2. The part 2 with the metal foil 13 is inserted into a press mold 20 activated by a heater 19, where a soft resin layer 6 and a hard resin layer 3 compatible with the soft resin layer 6 are formed through an adhesive layer 7 and bonded to each other to form a decorated film 4 holding both ends of the metal foil 13.

■Hard resin and soft resin need to be extruded at different times, so if one resin is extruded onto one side of the profile 2, the profile 2 will be deflected by the extrusion pressure, making both resin layers uniform. In particular, if the soft resin is extruded first, the gap between the profiled material 2 and the metal foil 13 becomes narrow, and the hard resin cannot fit between them.

In the molding 1, a soft resin layer 6 is formed via an adhesive layer 7 so as to cover both surfaces of the metal profile 2, that is, the outer surface side L, the U-shaped inner side M, and the glass side N. A hard resin layer 3 having direct compatibility is welded to the outer surface thereof. Decorative film 4 is adhesive layer 7
It is adhered to the soft resin layer 6 through the wafer, and is sandwiched between the hard resin layer 3 and the soft resin layer 6 at both ends thereof.

The manufacturing method includes uncoilers 10 and 11, a rust-proofed metal strip 12 that becomes the profiled material 2, and a decorative film 4.
A bright metal foil 13 made of stainless steel or the like is sent out, a soft resin adhesive layer 7 is formed on both sides of the metal strip 12 and one side of the metal foil 13 using a roll coater 16, and baked using a baking device 17, followed by roll forming. A device 18 bends and forms the metal strip 12 to form a metal profile 2 having the shape shown in FIG. The resin and hard resin were extruded to form a soft synthetic resin layer 6 between both surfaces of the profiled material 2, that is, the outer surface side, the U-shaped inner side M, the glass side N, and the metal foil 13 via the adhesive layer 7. Thereafter, a compatible hard resin layer 3 is formed and welded to the soft resin layer 6 on the outer surface side, and both ends of the metal foil 13 are sandwiched, thereby manufacturing the molding 1.

It is sufficient that the soft resin and hard resin are compatible, but if resins with the same main components are used, such as soft vinyl chloride resin and hard vinyl chloride resin, they can be molded under the same molding conditions and can be molded under the same molding conditions. Adhesives can be used and are preferred. A modified phenol type adhesive can be used as the adhesive.

In the above manufacturing method, the soft resin layer 6 is formed on both sides of the profiled material 2, so when extruding the soft resin, the extrusion pressure is applied uniformly to both surfaces of the profiled material 2, the profiled material 2 is not unevenly distributed, and the soft resin The layer 6 is formed uniformly over the entire surface and evenly penetrates between the profile 2 and the metal foil 13. In addition, since the hard resin layer 3 is welded to the soft resin layer 6, peeling does not occur, and it is evenly formed on the uniformly formed soft resin layer 6, so that the surface is not disturbed and the surface is glossy. A uniform gloss can be formed on the surface even when using a hard resin.
