Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a better printing both at the thermosensitive recording and the thermosensitive transfer recording by varying the printing pressure of a thermal head depending on the difference between the thermosensitive transfer recording and the thermosensitive recording. CONSTITUTION:When an ink ribbon case 1 is mounted on a recorder to be used for the thermosensitive transfer recording, the printing pressure F' is determined by the stretched length of a head pressure spring 7. The ink ribbon case 1 is provided with a protrusion 15 to drive a lever B12, which is driven with the center 13 of rotation as fulcrum to extend the stretched length of the head pressure spring 7 whereby the head pressure is automatically varied with the loading or unloading of the ink ribbon case 1.
