PURPOSE:To confirm whether a destaticizing lamp is lighted or not, from the outside of a photosensitive body supporting unit through an optical fiber, by positioning a part of the optical fiber at the inside of a light shielding member for covering the destaticizing lamp, and also positioning its other end at the outside of the photosensitive body supporting unit. CONSTITUTION:One end of an optical fiber 31 is positioned at the inside of a light shielding member 22 for covering a destaticizing lamp 21. The other end of the optical fiber 31 passes through a side plate 12 of the front side and is positioned at this side of its plate. Accordingly, in this device, whether the lamp 21 is lighted or not can be confirmed easily from this side of the side plate 12 of the front side through the optical fiber 31. When the other end of the optical fiber 31 is positioned at this side of a frame 15, said confirmation can be executed from this side of the frame 15. In this way, whether the destaticizing lamp is lighted or not can be confirmed easily, therefore, in case when the destaticizing lamp becomes faulty, it can be detected easily.
