Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a system by separating a signal processing circuit, which converts video signals to a recording format, from a VTR for dubbing and arranging this circuit in a signal source of the dubbing system. CONSTITUTION:An NTSC signal as the standard television signal of a signal source 5 is separated to a color signal and a luminance signal, and the color signal is heterodyned by a frequency converting circuit 15 and is converted to a low-band conversion signal and is applied to a low-pass filter 13. Meanwhile, the luminance signal separated by the filter 14 has the frequency modulated by an FM modulating circuit 16 and is converted to a high frequency signal and is applied to a high-pass filter 12. The luminance signal and the color signal are added by an adder 17. The output signal is recorded by video heads of plural recorders (VTT7-VTTm) after power amplification.

Conventional configurations and their problems In recent years, with the spread of home video tape recorders (hereinafter referred to as VTRs), video signal information from television broadcasts and video cameras can be recorded on VTRs and not only can they be played back. The use of purchasing so-called soft tapes that have already been recorded on them and playing them back to enjoy program content is increasing.

A standard television signal in C, PAL or SECAM format is separated by a filter into a luminance signal (Y signal) and a chroma signal (C signal), where the Y signal is FM modulated and the C signal is reduced to a lower frequency than the original carrier frequency. The signal is converted to a low frequency and recorded. These signal processing methods are defined as standards for each method and are well known.

However, these signal processing circuits
Each of the TRs is equipped with one, but since they have the same circuit configuration and the VTRs are operated in parallel at the same time, there is no need for a dubbing system to have one for each, and it is sufficient to have one processing circuit in common. In conventional dubbing systems, a general VTR capable of recording and reproducing is used as a recording VTR, and therefore the dubbing system as a whole is not necessarily configured efficiently.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 2 through 5. In other words, this videotape duplicating device separates a luminance signal and a chroma signal from a standard video signal, frequency-modulates the luminance signal, converts the chroma signal into a low frequency conversion signal, and then transmits these signals to multiple videotape drive devices. to create many identical recording tapes at the same time.

That is, in FIG. 3, 11.12 is an HPF (bypass filter), 13.14 is an LPF (low-pass filter), 15 is a frequency conversion circuit, 16 is an FM modulation circuit,
17 is an adder. As shown in Fig. 5, the NTSC signal ((a) in the figure) is separated into a color signal P C ((b) in the figure) and a luminance signal Y ((C) in the figure) by filters 11 and 14. C is heterogained by the frequency converter circuit 15 and converted into a low-frequency conversion signal (cd in the figure) with a carrier frequency of 0.629 MHz, which is applied to the low-pass filter 13. On the other hand, the luminance signal Y separated by the filter 14 ((
C)) is frequency modulated by the FM modulation circuit 16, converted into a high frequency scarlet signal (RF multiplied signal (el)) whose frequency deviation varies between 3.4M11z and 4.4MHz, and then passed through a bypass filter. Added to 12. The luminance signal Y and the color signal C thus converted are added by an adder 17 at a ratio that satisfies the optimum recording condition to obtain the signal shown in FIG. 4. After receiving appropriate power amplification, it is applied to the video head and recording is performed. The case of NTSC signal was given as an example, but the above frequency values are β method, PA
Although it differs depending on the method such as the L method, converting the color signal C into a reduced frequency and converting the luminance signal Y into a frequency are the same.

When distributing, the converted Y signal and the converted C signal are each distributed using separate cables, and are added after adjusting the amplitude and frequency characteristics according to the characteristics of the recording device including each video head inside the VTT7-m. It is preferable to Furthermore, since the signal that has undergone the conversion process described above usually does not include a synchronization signal for synchronously driving VTTs 7 to m,
It is also necessary to distribute this synchronization signal as shown in FIG.
