Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a tacky water-contg. gel which has good water retention and shape retention, can be bonded to various smooth surfaces and can be peeled off without leaving any residues behind, by causing a polyacrylic acid (salt) to gel by using a polyvalent metal oxide. CONSTITUTION:The titled tacky water-contg. gel contg. is a water-contg. gel at least 1wt% polyacrylic acid and/or polyacrylate salt (e.g. polyacrylic acid having a degree of polymn. of 1,000-60,000 or its Na salt), at least 0.02wt% gelling agent and at least 15wt% water wherein a polyvalent metal oxide (e.g. TiO2, ZnO or MgO) is used as said gelling agent. The tacky water-contg. gel has good water retention and shape retention, can be properly bounded to smooth surfaces such as the surface of the skin and can be peeled off without particular aid to its own weight.

However, hydrogels made mainly from natural polymer materials have disadvantages such as corrosion due to the composition of the main material, loss of gel structure under heating, and synthetic polymers. For example, when the gelling component is a divalent or higher metal salt such as magnesium chloride or calcium chloride, the gelation rate with the main material is too fast, making it difficult to form the gel into the desired shape. 69. Furthermore, when a synthetic compound such as triglycidinone isocyanurate is used as a gelling component, it has excessive water retention and shape retention properties as a hydrogel, but it lacks tackiness, so a viscous agent such as polyhydric alcohol is used. It has the disadvantage of requiring complicated operations such as addition.

The inventors of the present invention have conducted extensive research in view of the state of the art of swords and swords, and have surprisingly found that when polyacrylic acid and polyacrylic acid salts are gelled with polyvalent metal oxides,
The present invention has been based on the discovery that an adhesive hydrogel can be obtained that has good water retention and shape retention properties, can adhere to many substantially smooth application surfaces, and can be peeled off without leaving any residue.

According to the adhesive hydrogel of the present invention, it has good water retention and shape retention properties, and also properly adheres to a substantially smooth application surface such as the skin surface, and at least under its own weight, special adhesion auxiliary means are used. It has the characteristic that it does not peel off even if it is not used.

It is necessary to adjust the content of at least 1% by weight in the hydrogel composition in order to obtain the desired physical strength and adhesiveness. The upper limit of the content of polyacrylic acid and/or lyacrylate in the hydrogel composition can be set without using a viscous agent such as glycerin.
It is determined by whether or not the desired adhesiveness can be obtained for the hydrogel, and it is preferable that the adhesiveness does not exceed .60 mm at most.

Such a polyvalent metal oxide is present in the hydrogel composition in an amount of at least 0.02% by weight or more, preferably 0.04% by weight or more.
Practically speaking, it is necessary to adjust l'4 to include 10% by weight or more of Fi in order to obtain gelling and thickening effects. If the amount is less than 0.02% by weight, the polyacrylic acid and/or polyacrylate cannot be sufficiently gelled and thickened. However, it is desirable that the amount of the oxide does not exceed 73% by weight of the hydrogel composition at most; if it exceeds 73% by weight, the adhesiveness of the hydrogel will not only decrease, but also the viscoelasticity will decrease. It is something that is lacking.

A sticky hydrogel is composed of these polyacrylic acids and/or polyacrylates, water, and a polyvalent metal oxide, and the water content in the gel is at least 15iii.
It is necessary that the content is 1%, preferably zoiii% or more. If the water content is less than 15%, the gel body will be hard and have poor adhesive properties, making it undesirable. Therefore, it is preferable that the water content does not exceed 95% by weight of the hydrogel composition at most, and if it is more than 95% by weight, shape retention will be poor.
