Claims

自車両と先行車との車間距離を検出する車間距離検出手
段と、自車速を検出する車速検出手段と、検出した自速
車に基づき安全車間距離を算出する安全車間距離算出手
段と、運輯者の操守に応じて作動し、安全車間距離算出
手段における算出された安全車間距離を拡大調整する安
全車間距離調整手段と、検出した車間距離を前記安全車
間距離算出手段から入力した安全車間距離となるように
車速制御信号を出力する車速制御手段と、当該車速制御
信号に応じてスロットル／＜ルブの開度を変えるスロッ
トルバルブ開度制御手段とを有することを特徴とする車
