Abstract

PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity of provision of a boss portion and aim at reduction in weight of a transmission case and reduction in producing cost, by projecting an external thread portion provided on an outer circumference of an outer race of a bearing from a side plate of the transmission case, and holding the side plate between both nuts to mount the bearing to the side plate. CONSTITUTION:An outer race 5 of a bearing 3 is formed with an external thread portion 6 on an outer circumferential surface thereof. An inside nut 7 with a groove to be threadedly engaged with the external thread portion 6 is formed with a stepped engagement portion 9 to be engaged with a hole 8 of a side plate 1 at one side portion thereof. The inside nut 7 is threadedly engaged with the outer race 5 of the bearing 2, and is then fitted with the hole 8 from the inside of the side plate 1, thus allowing the stepped engagement portion 9 of the inside nut 7 to be fitted with the hole 8 and the inside nut 7 to be positioned. Then, a packing 11 is fitted with the outer race 5 from the outside of the side plate 1, and thereafter a hexagon cap nut 10 is threadedly engaged with the outer race 5 so as to be fixed.
