Abstract

PURPOSE:To mitigate the thermal impact on the surface of a die to prevent a heat check and to extend the life of the die by spraying a water-soluble release material onto the die after heating said agent. CONSTITUTION:The surface temp. of a die varies with places and is 150-300 deg.C in average. Said temp. is required to be maintained as far as possible. The temp. decreasing rate of the die is therefore decreased and the die temp. is made higher by 5-10 deg.C in average by spraying a water-soluble release material heated to 80 deg.C to the die by which the thermal impact on the die surface is mitigated, a heat check is prevented ans the life of the die is extended. Partial overcooling is thus prevented and the defects such as generation of misrun, remaining of water owing to insufficient drying are eliminated.

In die casting, when a water-soluble mold release agent is sprayed onto the mold using a spray device, the surface of the mold is rapidly cooled and subjected to thermal shock.
Fine net-like cracks occur on the surface of the mold, which significantly shortens the life of the mold. Moreover, the surface of the mold is uneven, and the heat capacity M is affected by each part, so some parts are too cold, resulting in poor water circulation, water remaining due to insufficient drying, and defective products. In view of these conventional problems, the present invention aims to solve the above problems by heating a water-soluble mold release agent and then spraying it onto the mold. be.

The surface temperature of the mold varies depending on the location, but on average it is 1
The temperature is 50 to 300°C, and it is desirable to maintain that temperature as much as possible. Therefore, it is theoretically better to spray a water-soluble mold release agent onto the mold surface after heating it to 150 to 300°C.
If heated to ~300°C, the components will separate or change, and at the same time vaporize, which is dangerous, so it is preferable to heat it to around 80°C.

When a water-soluble mold release agent heated to 80°C was sprayed onto the mold, experimental results showed that the mold temperature drop rate, which was previously 14°C per second, slowed down to 10°C per second. The mold temperature also increased by about 5 to 10°C on average.

This can be solved by adding a water-soluble mold release agent. By spraying the mold after heating it, the thermal shock on the mold surface caused by the spray can be alleviated, preventing bead damage and extending the life of the mold. Moreover, it is possible to prevent partial neglect and eliminate defects such as drying and water remaining due to insufficient drying.

よって、所期の目的を達成し得る。Therefore, the intended purpose can be achieved.
