Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the AC current components of a commercial frequency flowed to rails by supplying a current in response to the component contained in a current of a DC power source to a winding magnetically coupled with a filter reactor. CONSTITUTION:The output of a DC power source 1 is supplied through a filter reactor 2, a filter capacitor 3 and an inverter 4 to an induction motor 5. A frequency discriminator 9 discriminates only commercial frequency components contained in the current of the power source 1. A power converter 10 supplies a current in response to the output of the discriminator 9 through a reactor 7 to the secondary winding 6 magnetically coupled with the reactor 2. Thus, the AC current components of the commercial frequency flowed to rails can be reduced without increasing the size of the filter circult.
