Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the casting of a cylinder head so as to be performed in an easy manner, by covering a concave part used for a water jacket formed on the cylinder head, while installing a side cover capable of holding a thermostat, and making up a bypass passage inside this side cover. CONSTITUTION:In this internal-combustion engine, a crankshaft is set up in a vertical direction, and suction air A is led into each suction port 2 of a cylinder head 1, while exhaust gas E is discharged to an exhaust passage 4 from each exhaust port 3. れており、排気ポートは特に船外機用の場合に於ては全
外周に水位線を設けて機関の過熱を防止する事が必要で
あるが、当該ふたがこれの水位線を形成している。これ
をふたでなくヘッド本体で形成すると鋳物が複雑となる

2点鎖線で示す熱電対12を組込んだボルトと交換する
ことにより、機関の仕組状態のまま各気筒/I61及び
/162の排気温度をそのまま測定し、機関性能のチェ
ックが可能である。
