幹部の先端に、連結軸が幹部と同一方向に突出されてい
て、この連結軸により車体パネルの取付は孔に嵌合され
る軟質合成樹脂からなるキャップと仮組付けされ、キャ
ップが車体パネルの取付は孔に嵌入された後に、キャッ
プ内に幹部を突き入れることによってサイドモールを車
体パネルに取付けられるようにした自動車のサイドモー
ルの取付は構造において、前記キャップは、一方を閉鎖
した筒状部と、この筒状部の開口端に外向きに突出させ
た環状鍔部とによって形成するとともに、他方、前記連
結軸の自由端側には、筒状部の内径よりも外径の大きい
大径部を形成し、この大径部を筒状部に挿入して、モー
ルクリップとキャップとを仮組付けした状態における大
径部の位置に対応した筒状部の内壁面と、筒状物に前記
幹部が突き入れられ、この幹部がキャップを介して前記
取付は孔に嵌合された状態における大径部の位置に対応
した筒状部の内壁面とに、夫夫、大径部が係合する環状
