Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize a card as a bank book or various licence by adopting a display device and also a nonvolatile memory free of write/erasure to store various data other than the password number of the user, finger print and voiceprint data. CONSTITUTION:SA magnetic stripe 9 is provided to a magnetic card 5, a finger touch part or voice input sections 6, 11, control circuits 7, 12 and display sections 8, 13 are provided to each of the magnetic card 5 and an IC card 10 and a power is fed to each section from the control circuits 7, 12. Moreover, the control circuits 7, 12 are provided with a microprocessor CPU14 controlling the entire system, a ROM15, a finger print detecting section 18, and a RAM16 storing each feature data from a voice input data 20. Moreover, the feature of the finger print or voiceprint registered with the password number of the user of the cards 5, 10 is stored in an R-MEM17. The data in the RAM16 read and the data of the R-MEM17 are compared by a comparator 22 so as to identify the user easily and accurately.

(Background technology) With conventional magnetic cards and IC cards, when registering the card, the user's PIN is communicated to the issuer, the PIN is written on a separate device, and the user inputs the PIN separately from a keyboard. The number written on the card was compared with the number entered on the keyboard to determine whether the user was the user. With this method, there are many types of cards for different purposes, and if you have to change the PIN for each card, you will not be able to remember each one, and the PIN will not match and you will not be able to use it, or someone else will memorize your number and use it fraudulently. There were many cases in which cards were used with inconvenience and anxiety, such as being used.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks by adding the user's personal knowledge to the card itself, +3+3 L! ! J m i”, it extracts the unique characteristics of the person, such as fingerprints and voiceprints, and determines if they match the fingerprints and voiceprints registered at the time of card issuance. In this case, the user will be judged as someone else's and cannot use it.Therefore, there is no need to remember the password each time.
By combining a fingerprint or voiceprint with a PIN, a more rigorous security check becomes possible.

Reference numeral 17 denotes a button memory section in which characteristics of a fingerprint or voiceprint registered together with a card user's personal identification number in a card issuing device or the like at the time of card issuance are stored. Incidentally, this memory section is constituted by a non-volatile memory that can retain data even if the battery power source 7 or 12 disappears after being electrically written.

First 5. By placing your finger on El and 11 on the IO card or inputting your voice, you can convert the data of 16 and 17 into 2.
If a match is found by comparing 2, the password registered in 17 will be displayed on 8 and 13 of the card, allowing the user to confirm the number when using the card. Therefore, it is ensured that the card cannot be used by another person, and crimes such as card misuse, which are becoming a problem today, will not occur.
