Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cleaning workability by a method wherein the power line of a blower motor is automatically turned OFF when a hood front plate is dismounted from the front opening of the hood main body of a range hood fan. CONSTITUTION:A hood front plate 17 and a pugh-off type switch are provided on a hood main body 1, near the front opening of which a lever 30 energized so as to puch the operator 24 of the switch at all times is pivotally provided. An engaging part 33, which is engageable with a part to be engaged 21 of the hood front plate 17 is formed on the lever 30. When the engaging part 33 and the part to be engaged 21 are in engagement, the lever 30 and the hood front plate 17 interlock so that the pressing and release of pressing of the operator 24 of the switch is performed in accordance with the mounting and dismounting of the hood front plate 17. When the hood front plate 17 is dismounted from the front opening of the hood main body 1, the operator 24 of the switch is pressed by the lever 30, resulting in automatically turning the switch OFF.
