It has been revealed that this cavity resonance occurs when the vibration waves of the panel match the natural frequency based on the volume of the space.

In order to prevent this cavity resonance, in the past, a flat plate was interposed and fixed in a direction perpendicular to the inner and outer panels, or a member with a U-shaped cross section was interposed and fixed to the panel. I was doing vibration control.

This invention does not require a vibration damping member separate from the panel, and the vibration damping parts are formed on the inner and outer panels themselves, providing a damping function at the same time as the panel is assembled, and suppressing the natural frequency in the space. This is characterized by the fact that the resonance points are shifted to prevent the occurrence of cavity resonance.

For example, the end of the quarter panel outer 2 and the end of the back panel inner 3 are bent and extended into the space 5 along their longitudinal direction, and are opposed to each other with a gap 8 at the extended ends. The flange 6.7 is bent.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, a soft elastic material 9 such as butyl tape can be interposed in the gap 8 where the flanges 6.7 face each other to provide an even further vibration damping effect.

Since the present invention has the structure as described above, the inner plate and the outer plate are formed by an extending end bent and extending into the space 5 and a flange 6.7 formed by bending at the extending end. The stiffness is increased, and this increased stiffness enhances the vibration damping function of the inner and outer panels themselves.

In addition, by arranging the flanges 6.7 at the extending ends to face each other with a gap 8, or by interposing a soft elastic material 9 between the gaps 8, a vibration damping function can be achieved without propagating vibrations between the inner and outer plates. Hold.

Therefore, a difference occurs between the panel frequency of the inner and outer panels, which have enhanced vibration damping functions, and the natural vibration wave within the space 5, and the occurrence of cavity resonance (air column resonance) is suppressed. .

As described above, the vehicle body panel allocating means according to the present invention extends the ends of the inner and outer panels constituting the vehicle body by bending them into a space along their longitudinal direction, with a gap between them. Since the rigidity of the panel is increased by bending the opposing flanges, a vibration damping structure is inevitably realized by the panel assembly work of the vehicle body, and by partitioning the space with the extending end, each Resonance can be prevented by increasing the natural frequency in the space and causing a shift in the resonance point, which has the practical benefit of omitting the conventional work of separately molding the vibration distribution parts and assembling them in a predetermined position. There is.
