Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a transparent film difficult in flaw formation, by superposing protective paper to the entire non-printing surface of a transparent film (a film for an overhead projector) in a freely releasable manner. CONSTITUTION:White protective paper 5 is superposed to the entire back surface (the non-printing surface) of a film for OHP. Feed holes are provided to this protective paper 5 as in the film 1 for OHP and the film 1 for OHP and the protective paper 5 are simultaneously fed while the feed holes provided to both of them are engaged with feed pins of a common feed hole platen roller. When both of them are wound in a roll form, the film 1 for OHP is not mutually and directly superposed and the film 1 for OHP is not marred.

By the way, the OHP film 1 of the conventional thermal transfer printer does not have OHP even when it is wound into a roll or when it is folded, as shown in Figure BLE1 ((a) and (b)).
Since the HP films 1 are directly molded together, there is a drawback that scratches often occur during manufacturing, handling, and use. Nao, when projecting an image printed on OHP film,
It is well known that if the ilm itself has scratches, the projection screen will become unsightly.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, this invention has been developed to provide thermal transfer printer paper (OHP) that is resistant to scratches on OHP transparent films.
A removable protective paper is superimposed on the entire non-printing surface of a transparent film.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing the structure of an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 5 denotes a white protective paper that is removably superimposed on the entire back surface (non-printing surface) of the OHP film 1. Although not shown in this protective paper 5, OHP
Similarly to film 1, the feed hole (Fig. 1 (a),
(Refer to (b)) is provided, and 10HP film 1 is provided.
The feed pin of the platen roller engages with the feed hole of both of the protective paper 5 and the protective paper 5, and are conveyed simultaneously. As in this embodiment, when the transparent film 1 and the protective paper 5 are overlapped and further wound into a roll, the OHP films 1 do not directly mold each other as shown in FIG.
, No scratches on OHP film.

Reference numeral 10 shown in FIG. 3 is an ink ribbon used in a color thermal transfer printer, and is made of light-transmitting condenser paper. This ink ribbon 10 is repeatedly coated with cyan, magenta, and yellow ink, and
Black ink is applied to the boundary portions of each color, and black marks 110a, 10a, . . . are provided below the non-transparent portion C. In this way, the reason why the black mark 10a is removed is to accurately detect the change in color of the ink ribbon 100. For example, as shown in FIG.
Since the irradiation light No. 5 is absorbed by the black mark 10a (indicated by a broken line in the figure), a change in color is detected. Note that in the yellow, magenta, and cyan portions, the irradiated light passes through the ink ribbon 10, is reflected by the paper 11 (plain paper), and is received by the light receiver 16. However, when the OHP film 1 is used in the color thermal transfer printer described above, the light emitted from the light emitter 15 is emitted even in areas other than the black mark 10a (yellow, magenta, and cyan areas), as shown in FIG. 4(b). The light passes through the OHP film 1 and reaches the platen roller 12, but since the platen roller 12 is generally black, it absorbs the irradiated light, and as a result, the irradiated light does not reach the light receiver 16, causing a color change. Unable to detect wrinkles. On the other hand, when OHP paper shown in Example B is used in the T-color thermal transfer printer described above, as shown in Figure 4 (C), the OHP paper is printed in areas other than the black mark 10a.
Since the light transmitted through the protective film 1 is reflected on the surface of the white protective paper 5 and reaches the light receiver 16, it is possible to detect the change in color at the black mark 10a.

In this way, in this embodiment, the OHP screen 4
This not only prevents the film l from being scratched, but also improves the detection of color boundaries of the ink ribbon 10 in a color thermal transfer printer.

Incidentally, FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a case in which the OHP sheets in this embodiment are alternately folded back and overlapped at the sewing machine mouth portions (see FIG. 1 (a), ←). Even when folded in this way, the chances of direct contact between OHP films 1 and 2 are significantly smaller than in the conventional case (Figure 1 (b)), and the incidence of scratches is also significantly lower. do.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a transparent film (
Since the protective paper is layered on the entire non-printing surface of the OHP film, it is possible to prevent the transparent film from being scratched. Also, if the protective paper is colored in a highly reflective color such as white, it can be removed easily. With the same structure as in the case of thermal transfer to plain paper, it is possible to satisfactorily detect the color boundary of an ink ribbon in a color thermal transfer printer using a reflective photosensor.
