Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はシリアルプリンタの活字体種類の選別方式に関
する。
従来、この種のシリアルプリンタの活字体様選別方式に
は活字体に活字体種鑑識用の孔を設けて、外部から７オ
トセンサーで孔の有無を識別する方式、あるいは活字体
に鑑識用の株気ｇ己憶体を設けて外部から磁気センサー
で磁気記憶を識別する方式等がある。
これらセンサーは出力調整を要したり、はこり。
温度変化、外部磁気等環境条件を制限する必要がある等
の欠点を有し、又、センサー自身も高価であり、環境条
件を広げるための補正回路等が必要なため、回路手段も
高価である等の欠点があった。
本発明の目的は、いかなる環境条件でも正確で、かつ安
価な活字体様選別方式を提供することである。
本発明による活字体様選別方式におい”Ｃは、活字体種
類とヌ・１応した鑑識用の凹凸を有する活字体を用い、
活字体外部に活字体の鑑識用凹凸をめざし”Ｃ１ストロ
ーク動作をする励磁作動片を有し、この励磁作動片はス
トローク距離に応じて作動するスイッチを連動しており
、励磁作動片で活字体の＆＃ｉ識用開用凹凸接、接触す
ることで、活字体の鑑識用凹凸に応じ°ＣＭｈ　１ｍ作
動片のストローク距離が決定きれ、かつスイッチの作動
が決定沁れ、スイッチのオン、あるいはオフを認識する
ことにより活字体種類が選別できる。
次に本発明の実施例について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図を参照すると、活字体１は活字の回転方向選択用
モータ２とそのモータと一体になった活字の上下方向選
択用モータ３とからなるモータのシャフト上に固定され
ている。活字体１の近傍に印字ハンマー４とスイッチ５
と係合しているソレノイド６が固沖二されている。活字
体１は文字種類やグロボーンヨナルスペーシング印字用
活字等で多種類が準備されているが、その各種の活字体
に対し”Ｃ１活字選択、スペーシングピッチ等駆動制御
も異っているため、装看している活字体がいかなる種類
であるかを＆識する必要が生じるものである。
第２図全参照すると、活字体１には回転中心を同心とす
るある半径上０個又は１個あるいは複数個の突起７が設
けられている。突起７は複数箇所で有無となって存在し
ている。斜線部８は突起７が存在していない部分である
。ボス９は活字選択用モータと固定するのに用い、角孔
１０は回転方向活字選択の基準位置を決定するものであ
る。突起７は有無の組合せで、活字体１の種類と対応し
ており、突起７の有無を確認することで、その活字体が
どのような種類であるかが認識できるものである。
第１図において、活字体１の突起７と対向する位置にソ
レノイド６のプランジャ１１があり、突起７の位置は突
起７の有無に関係なく、プランジャ１１と対向する位置
に回転方向選択用モータ２により逐次位置づけられる。
このとき活字体１は上下方向選択用モータ３により下段
の文字を選択すべく持ち上げられている。
第３図を参照すると、状態図（５）はソレノイド６を励
磁させていない状態を示し、ソレノイド６のプランジャ
１１は、係合しているスイッチ５により初期位置を確保
している。このときプランジャ先端１１ａは活字体１の
突起７が有っても接触［７ない位置であり、活字体１は
自由に回転できるものである。又、この時スイッチ５の
接点１２は導通状態にはならない。
状態図（Ｂ）は所定の位置に活字体１が選択されたが突
起７が無い箇所であり、その箇所でソレノイド６を励磁
した状態を示す。このときプランジャ１１は吸引され係
合されているスイッチ５の接点１２は導通状態となる。
励磁をとけばグランジャ１１、スイッチ５は状態図（５
）の状態に復帰する。
状態図（０）はＨｒ定の位置に活字体１が選択されて、
突起７が存在する場合にソレノイド６を励磁した状態を
示す。このときプランジャ１１の先端１１ａは活字体１
の突起７に衝突し、スイッチ５の接点１２は導通状態に
はなりえない。このように活字体１を回転させ、所定の
位置に位置づけソレノイド６を励磁させた時、活字体１
の突起７の有無でスイッチ５が働くか否を逐次認識して
いくと、その活字体１がいかなる種類であるかが選別で
きるものである。
本発明は以上説明したように活字体の鑑識用凹凸を接触
により認識しているため、センサーの出力調整の不要、
はこり、温度変化等悪環境条件でも正確に活字体積を選
別でき、又、安価な活字体抽選別方式を提供できるもの
である。
