In the above embodiment, a screw 22 having a right-handed threaded part 20 and a left-handed threaded part 21 on both sides is used as the connecting part 9, and the two metal cylindrical bodies 7 and 8 are connected together, and the interval between them can also be changed. Therefore, the distance between the concave mirror 5 and the fluorescent screen 14 can be easily finely adjusted during manufacturing.

As described above, the present invention includes an electron gun that emits an electron beam,
a target electrode having a fluorescent screen that emits visible light when irradiated with the electron beam; a concave mirror that reflects the visible light forward; a support that supports the target electrode and the concave mirror; and a focusing means for the electron beam. In a projection type picture tube, the support body is composed of a first metal cylindrical body to which the concave mirror is fixed, a second metal cylindrical body to which the target electrode is fixed, and the first and second metals. In order to connect the cylindrical bodies, a plurality of screws were used which were long in the tube axis direction and had threaded parts that were threaded into parts of both metal cylindrical bodies, so the relative positions of the fluorescent screen and the mirror surface could be finely adjusted. Further, it is possible to obtain a projection type picture tube that can be continuously and stably adjusted without undoing or loosening the connection between the two, and has high quality and productivity.
