Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、テニスラケットに用いられる、特定の機械的
性質をもつ７’ｃｉＬいタイプのガツトに関する。
現在、市場には主として次の２ｓ類のラケット用ガツト
かある：天然ガツト即ち腸ガツトとナイロン、ポリウレ
タンなどから成る合成ガツトである。
腸ガツトは例外として、これら公知のガツトはすべて「
単一ストランドＪ　（”　ｍｏｎｏ　−５ｔｒａｎｄ　
’　）　”？’あることが特徴である。即ち、ガツトの
縦断面を顕微鏡で見ると、その周囲から中心部まで均質
な材料から成る。
公知のガツトの弾性は、２０ｑｂ程度又はそれ以上でさ
えあるので、使用の見地からは非常に大きいＯ 公知のガツトとは対照的に１本発明のガツトは縦断面で
見て複合桐造体を示し、ガツトは周囲被覆をもった補強
心線を會んでいる。
この周囲被覆は、ボールを受けたときの心線の摩耗と損
傷を防ぐために設けられている。
この被覆を構成するのに適した材料は幾種類かあるか、
現在筐でに最もよい結果か得られたのはポリアミド類、
％にポリアミド−６の場合であった０ その他の適当なポリアミドはボリアずドー１２である０
リルサン（ＲＩＬ８ＡＮ）（ポリアミド−１１で、５ｏ
ｃｉｅｔｅ　　Ｖａｌｅｎｔｉｎｏｉｓｅ　　ｄ’Ａｐ
ｐｌｉｃａｔｉｏｎｓ　　Ｔｅｘｔｉｌｅｓ　製合成繊
維の商品名）として知られている製品は不適当である。
各種の試験から、ガツトの寿命を確実に充分長くするた
めには、このような被覆は是非必斐でおることがわかっ
た。
本発明によれは、心線はこれに前記の機械的特性の大部
分、即ち曲は強さと引張強さを与え、かつ伸びかほとん
どない（約４％）Ｍ機及び／又は合成材料によって構成
されている。
このために、ガツトを強く張り、かつ多数回のプレー期
間中にガツトをその状態に維持することが可能となる。
心線を構成する材料の選択も、所要の性質を得ることが
非常に重要であるために、困難であった・種々行なった
試験の結果、例えば、「ロービング］といった方向性の
あるガラス繊維は％特に引張強さか低過き（１０〜１５
辱）、また被覆が不充分となって製造が複雑でもあるた
め、心線用としては不適当であった。
ガラス［集成体Ｊ　（＠ａｓｓｅｍｂｌｉｅｓ　”　）
も材料疲労と引張強さの不足のために不適当である。
最もよい結果が得られたのは、ガラスと「ケブラー」ア
ラミド（芳香族ポリアミド。Ｄｕ　Ｐｏｎｔ社の商品名
）との「撚り糸」を心線とした場合である。
こうして初めて、強い張力をかけること、その強い張力
を長期間維持すること及び［広いガツト面Ｊ　（Ｉｌｌ
ａｒｇｅ　ｓｔｒｉｎｇｉｎｇ”）にガツトを例えは３
０ｋｆの張力で張って使用する分野に極めてよく適合す
ることが可能で、かつ初期の性質を保持し力から長持ち
のするガツトか得られる材料を製造することかで＠た〇 ケブラー／ガラスの重量割合はｌｘ　ｓ　１／１〜１／
６の間にできることかわかった。
経済的要件を考慮（〜た最良の妥協点は、重量で約１／
１の割合であると思われる。
以下の実施例は本発明の具体例であって１本発明の範囲
を限定するものではない。
実施例１〜６ 心線即ち中心ヤーン上に周囲被覆を公知の方法で被堕し
７て本発明の接合ガツトを作製した。
得られたガツトの特性は次の通Ｑである。
（以下余白、次頁につづく。） 「撚）糸」は１回またはそれ以上の回数の撚り操作によ
って加熱された。２本の諸撚糸の組み合わせである。
前記各実施例において、「ガラス」は直径６μｍの連続
繊維から成る。
比較例 被覆用製品としてポリアミド−６の代わシに、フランス
国ＥＭＳ社の販売している”　ＧＲＩＬＬＯＮＢ　Ｔ　
４０　’を、−！Ｌ７ｔ″’　ＥＳＴＯＬＡＮＮ　Ｏ−
８５Ａ”を用いて試験を行なった。
これらの製品のうちの前者はポリアミド類に属するが、
いずれも所望の結果を与えなかった。
実施例４及び５ この２つの実施例はいずれもしケブラー」／「ケブラー
」心ａ＋＋つた本発明のガツトの具体例である。
これらのガツトの特徴は、ケブラーの平行ヤーン（心線
を桐１ｙ、）と、この心線に巻きつけられたケブラーヤ
ーン（［いを４１Ｉ成）とをもち、この全体が押出法に
よって熱可塑性材料（例えはポリアミド−６又はポリア
ミド−１２など）で被覆されていることである。
（以下余白、次頁につづく。） 以上を要約すると、本発明はテニスラケット用の新しい
ガツトに関するものである。
このガツトは、強く張ること及びその強い張りを維持す
ることを可能とする複合材料からなる。
本発明のガツトは有利な機械的性質を有し、良好な性質
を与える。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、　縦断面で見て、補強中央心線と保護周囲被覆とを
    有する複合構造体から成るテニスラケット用のガツト。 ２、　周囲被覆かポリアミドから成る特許請求の範囲第
    １項記載のガツト。 ６、　周囲複稜がポリアミド−６から成る特許請求の範
    囲第２項ＨＣ載のガツト。 ４、　中央心線か有機及び／又は合成材料から成り、シ
    たがって複合体であってもよい特許請求の範囲第１項記
    載のガツト。 ５、　　ｗａ強中央心祿が、ガラスと「ケブラー」（芳
    香族ポリアミド）との撚夛糸から成るか、前記心線か、
    ［ケブラーＪの平行ヤーヤンに１ケブラー」ヤーンを巻
    きつけて徨ったものから成る特許請求の範囲第４項記載
    のガツト。 ６、　心線を構成する撚漫系中のケブラー／ガラスの重
    量割合か１／１と１／６の間である特許請求の範囲第５
    項記載のガツト。 Ｚ　心線を構成する撚り系中のケブラー／ガラスの重量
    割合が約１／１である特許請求の範囲第６　　　゛項記
    載のガツト。 ８、心線がガラスと「ケブラー」との撚力糸であって、
    次の特性を示すタイプの特許請求の範囲第６項記載のガ
