Abstract

PURPOSE:To fold a catamaran not in its use to be transported and stored, by connecting a pair of floats, which are constituted by filling air in a bag body and holding its shape, with front and rear beams, connecting the beams to each other with a connection member and supporting a mast to an upper part of said member. CONSTITUTION:A pair of floats 1 are connected to each other by front and rear beams 2, 3, and central parts of the beams 2, 3 are connected by a connected by a connection member 4, while the bottom end of a mast 6 of a sail 5 is connected and supported onto this connection member 4. The float 1 is constituted by rubber, plastic and other waterproof cloth material into a bag body, and air is filled to the inside of the float to hold it to a fixed shape. In this way, a whole unit can be folded, reassembled and formed to compact size when not in use to be convenient for transportation and storage.

Conventionally, small sailing catamarans, which have a pair of hulls connected to each other by a beam, cannot be easily disassembled because the beams are completely fixed to the hull, and for this reason they are stored in the off-season. There is a problem that it is bulky when doing so. It has also been proposed to have a structure in which the beam and the hull can be disassembled, but even in this case, the size of the hull itself does not change, so there is a limit to how much the volume can be reduced.

The present invention has been made to solve these conventional problems, and allows the hull itself to be downsized, making it extremely convenient to transport and store. That is, in the present invention, a pair of hulls are connected to each other by beams at two places in the front and back, and the beams are connected to each other by a connecting member, and each hull is constituted by a shape-retaining bag filled with air. The mast of the sail is supported on the connecting member.

In the figure, a pair of hulls 1 are connected to each other by front and rear beams 2 and 6, and the beams 2 and 6 are connected at their center by a connecting part 4, and on this connecting member 4 is a mass l of a sail 5. The lower ends of -6 are connected and supported.

The hull 1 is constructed of a bag made of comb, plastic, or other waterproof cloth material, and its shape is maintained by filling air inside the bag. A tongue piece 9 is attached to the hull 1, and this and the upper part of the mast O are connected with a rope 90 to prevent the mast O from falling. Tongue piece 9 is beam 2
It is also installed in the center of the Further, a canopy 11 is arranged between the hulls 1, and its peripheral edge is connected to the hull 1, the beams 2 and 6, and the connecting member 4 by appropriate means. Further, the hull 1 is provided with a center board 10 projecting downward.

The joints between the beams 2 and 6 and the hull 1 are configured as shown in FIG. 2, for example. That is, a support base 7 made of a comb or the like is attached to the hull 1 by adhesive or other means, and its upper surface is attached to a beam 2. The outer circumferential surface of the support base 7 is formed into a clearly curved surface and a protrusion 70i is formed, and locking pieces 8 are attached to both sides of the support base 7, and a beam through hole 80 is formed therein. Then, the beam 2.degree. 6 is inserted through all the holes 80, brought into contact with the upper surface of the support base 7, and the protrusion 70 is inserted into holes (not shown) formed in the beams 2 and 6. In this joint oval structure, when the air in the hull 1 is removed, the support base 7 is lowered and the protrusion 70 is removed from the holes in the beams 2 and 6, as shown in FIG.
, 6 can be separated from the hull 1 by moving them in the axial direction.

Furthermore, when the hull 1 is filled with air from the state shown in FIG. 2. Since it is pressed against Part B, a strong bond is maintained during use. It should be noted that the coupling structure between the beams 2, 6 and the hull 1 can be modified in various other ways, and in any case, it is sufficient that the structure is detachable. Other parts, such as the connection between the beams 2 and 6 and the connecting member 4, are also made detachable. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 1, a sleeve 40 is fixed to both ends of the connecting member 4, and the beams 2 and 3 are passed through the sleeve 40, so that the beams 2 and 3 can be pulled out from the sleeve 40 during disassembly. That's what I do.

In the above configuration, each member is connected to each other during use, and both projectiles 1 are also fixed to each other by the beams 2, 6 and the connecting member 4, so that the configuration shown in FIG. 1 is maintained. Furthermore, when not in use, each member is separated into independent members, and since the hull 1 is made of a bag, it can be folded compactly by letting out the air, making the whole structure very compact. It can be done.

As explained above, this invention is a sailing catamaran made by connecting a pair of hulls with a beam, and each hull is made up of a bag body to make it foldable and can be used for 100 units. Sometimes they can be made very compact, making them convenient to transport and store.
