Claims (1)
ブロックの上端に固定されたシリンダヘ−ラドと、シリ
ンダ孔に摺動自在に嵌合されたピストンと、ピストン頂
部に形成され燃焼室を構成するキャビティと、燃焼室の
開口部を狭めるように該開口部周縁に形成されたリップ
部と、シリンダヘッドに取着され燃焼室内に燃料を噴射
する燃料噴射ノズルと、を備えた直接噴射式ディーゼル
エンジンにおいて、前記リップ部をキャビティの底部に
向かって徐々に拡径してその側壁面を傾斜させるととも
に、該傾斜した側壁面に向かって燃料を噴射させるよう
にしたことを特徴とする直接噴射式ディーゼルエンジン
