Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the label production efficiency for a label producer which prints the codes of articles to labels, by setting previously a common major sorting code for each article and then setting successively a minor sorting code of each article. CONSTITUTION:The upper 7 digits of a code showing the major sorting of an article are fed with a ten-key switch 1 and then set to a register 2. Then these digits are supplied to an input terminal for upper 7 digits of a printer register 6 with a push of a major sorting code setting key 4. Then a 6-digit code for minor sorting is fed with an operation of the switch 1 and then set to the register 2 to be supplied to an input terminal for lower 6 digits following the upper 7 digits of the register 6. Thus the output of 13 digits of the register 6 is supplied to a printer control circuit 7 and then printed with a push of a print key.

ルにはこれを貼付している商品の分類を表わすバーコー

ード及び数字はラベル発行機によって各商品毎にプリン
トされる。然るにデパートやスーパーなどでは多種類の
商品を扱うために、谷商品に対するコード数、もしくは
桁数が非常に大きくなる。第１図に示すラベルでは１３
桁のバーコード及び数字がプリントされてい才が、これ
ら、の中左方のもしくは上位の７桁のバーコード及び数
字はこの商品の大分類を表わし右方のもしくは下位の６
桁のバーコード及び数字はこの商品の小分類を表わして
いゐ、このように一般にラベルにプリントされるコー１
−’のうち上位の何桁かは大分類を表わし、残りの下位
のコードはその商品の小分類を表わしていることが多い
。例えば商品として「きゅうり」「なすび」「トマト」

「なすび」「トマト」にはこれらに共通の「野菜」用の
コードが大分類として定められ、また「シャツ」「＜つ
１」にはこれらに共通な「衣類」用の別のコードが大分
類として定められろ。そしてそれぞれの大分類を表わす
コードの後に「きゆうフ」「なすび」・・・・・・・・
