The present invention relates to a printing device that can print without printing pressure. For example, in an electrostatic screen type printing device, the printing material is intermittently or continuously transported by a transport device, and is electrostatically printed when it passes directly under the print head during the transport process. In such a non-contact, pressure-free electrostatic printing method, there are no transport problems when electrostatic printing is performed while continuously transporting the printing material, but it is difficult to accurately detect the printing area on the printing material and to obtain clear images. It has the disadvantage that it is difficult to obtain printing results, and the printing head and powder ink supply mechanism have to be very complicated in order to obtain relatively clear printing results. Therefore, in conventional electrostatic printing of this type, in most cases, the printing material is transported intermittently, and the print head is operated during periods when the printing material is temporarily stopped to perform electrostatic printing. It is. Additionally, in this case, the printing area is positioned by stopping the printing material using a stopper provided at a predetermined position along the conveyance device, but the printing area cannot be positioned accurately because the printing material bounces off the stopper. I was unable to do so.
This becomes especially noticeable when the printing material is intermittently conveyed at high speed to improve the printing speed, or when the printing material is not rectangular in shape. In order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional art, the present invention provides a print head, a plurality of first rollers for conveying a printing medium, and a plurality of first rollers arranged so that the first rollers can rotate independently. and a stopper for temporarily stopping or releasing the printing material conveyed by the conveying device, and the second roller has a top portion of the first roller that is The printing material is supported or returned onto the first roller by moving up and down between first and second positions, which are respectively located on both sides of the conveyance level, and the stopper is positioned above and below the second roller. The present invention provides a printing device characterized in that the printing medium is stopped or released in synchronization with the movement.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. First of all
In the drawings and FIG. 2, reference numeral 1 denotes a stencil 1a having a predetermined printing shape defined by a large number of through holes, a printing brush 1b that rotates on the stencil, and a hopper 1c that accommodates powder particles and supplies them to the printing brush 1b. 2 is a fixing nozzle that fixes the powder particles attached to the printing material 3; 4 is a conveying device consisting of a first roller 5, a second roller 6, etc.; The roller 5 is a drive roller that is rotated clockwise by a drive device (not shown). The second roller 5 is a free-rotating roller arranged alternately with respect to the first roller 5 arranged in the vicinity of the printing head 1 in the transport direction, which free-rotating roller is not connected to a rotary drive. The first roller can be freely rotated by an external force independently of the first roller. This second roller 6 is engaged with cams 7 and 77 and a level variable device 8 that is raised and lowered within a small range.
The first
The conveyance level H defined by the top of the roller 5 is elevated to a first or second position slightly higher or lower, respectively. Reference numeral 10 denotes a stopper that moves up and down in synchronization with the up-and-down movement of the variable level device 8, and its tip protrudes above the conveyance level H when the variable level device 8 is at a high level.

In addition, 11 and 12 are stoppers 1 that cooperate with the respective cams 13 and 14 to stop and release the printing material 3 on the conveying device 4.
5 is a DC high voltage power supply, and the first roller 5 and the second roller 6 are connected to each other so that the printing material 3 that has been conveyed by the first roller 5 is moved to the second roller 6 by its inertia and gravity. It is arranged at an angle so that it can be transported. Next, to explain the operation of this device, the printing material 3 fed onto the first roller 5 on the input side of the conveying device 4 is temporarily stopped by the first stopper 11 while being conveyed by the first roller 5. do.

This first stopper 11 stops and releases each printing medium 3 in synchronization with the second stopper 10 and the third stopper 12. When the stopper 11 moves in the direction of the arrow as the cam 13 rotates and releases the printing material 3, the printing material 3 is moved to the first position.
It is conveyed in the direction of the printing head 1 by the rollers 5 of the printer.
On the other hand, almost at the same time as the 6-stopper 11 releases the printing medium 3, the level variable device 8 is lowered to a low level position by the cam 7 and T'' to lower the second roller 6 below the transport level H. The resulting printed material 3 is again carried by the first roller 5 and conveyed in the direction of the fixing nozzle 2.The printed material 3 released from the stopper 11 reaches the second roller 6 on the leftmost side in the figure. Before or immediately after reaching the conveyance level H, the second roller 6 is raised slightly higher than the conveyance level H by the cams 7 and r and the level variable device 8 and carries the conveyed printing medium 3. As a result, the printing medium 3 The second roller 6 slides freely and hits the stopper 10, and in this case, the printing material 3 is not forcibly pressed against the stopper 10. Since no force is applied to press the printing material 3, the printing material 3 is not displaced laterally. Therefore, the printing location can be positioned extremely accurately. After the printing material 3 hits the stopper 10 in this way, the printing head 1 is operated to print the desired printing shape on the printing material 3.Then, the cam 7 and The stopper 10 and the second roller 6 are lowered below the conveyance level H by the T and level changing device 8, and the printing medium 3 is returned onto the first roller 5 and conveyed again. 1 and 2, non-contact, pressureless electrostatic printing will be explained. The stencil 1a is usually a metal plate with a printing shape defined by a large number of through holes, and the stencil 1a is a metal plate with a printing shape defined by many through holes. They are located at a distance of at least a common number.

The printing brush 1c rotates or rotates in the direction of the arrow so as to be in sliding contact with the stencil 1a, and transfers the powder particles supplied from the hopper 1b to the printing material 3 through the holes in the stencil 1a.
Push to the side. The extruded powder particles move through an electrostatic field formed between the stencil 1a and the conveying device 4 by the DC voltage power source 15 and adhere to the printing material 3. 1. Powder particles electrostatically attached in this way (deposition nozzle 2
The image is fixed by a spray of fixing liquid ejected from the image forming apparatus. Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to FIG. roller 6'', and the other parts are free-rotating rollers as in the previous embodiment. If the printing material 3 is lightweight, the first and second If rollers are not provided, it will be difficult for the printing material 3 to be conveyed by the freely rotating rollers 6, and if the inclination of the transport level H is increased, the head difference between the introduction side and the output side of the printing material in the transport device will increase, causing problems. There are also many.
Furthermore, if the conveyance speed of the freely rotating roller 6 differs depending on the weight of the printing material 3, it is difficult to determine the timing of the printing operation of the print head, resulting in deviations in the printing position. In consideration of this problem, the other driving roller 6'' is driven at a relatively slow constant speed, and in the case of a lightweight printing material, the printing material is transported forward at a constant speed and lightly hits the stopper 10. Further, this separate driving roller 5 is stopped during printing, so that vibrations caused by the rotation of the roller 6'' are not transmitted to the printing material. As described above, according to the present invention, the printing material conveyed by the conveying device is carried from a certain point by the freely rotating roller to the stopper, so there is no lateral deviation of the printing material, and the printing material is not displaced in the lateral direction. Even if the printing material has a relatively complex flat shape, such as a cutting wheel or clutch facing, it is possible to print extremely precisely at the printing location.
Furthermore, since it is possible to increase the speed of the drive roller of the conveyance device, the printing speed can be improved.
