Abstract

PURPOSE:In an air-conditioner having front and upward supply openings, to improve the quick performance and comfortableness by providing a flow path open/close door in a duct conducting to the upward supply opening to close at the starting and under setting condition. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting of an air-conditioner 2 under the state where the outer air temperature is high and a thermoswitch 57 is turned on, a timer switch 55 is turned on to operate a vacuum actuator 43 thus to close a flow path open/ close door 4 and to choke an upward duct 32 conducting to an upward supply opening 12. Consequently the conditioned air is collected to the front supply opening 11. After elapsing the timer setting time, the actuator 43 will operate said door 4 to the open side thus to feed the conditioned air to the upward supply opening 12 then blown out through both openings 11, 12. With such structure, the conditioned air can be collected to the front supply opening under severe cabin environment resulting in quick conditioning effect and improvement of comfortableness.

However, in such conventional air conditioners for automobiles, a front duct (31
1 and the upward duct 0 that guides the conditioned air to the upward outlet α21 are simply branched from the main duct (to), so the conditioned air is always flowing from the front outlet αD and the upward outlet α2. During the so-called cool-down period immediately after the air conditioner is started, or when operating conditions are severe, the air conditioning system blows air directly in front of the occupants for quick effect, before air conditioning the entire cabin. Although it would be desirable to provide a comfortable air-conditioned feeling to the passengers, there was a problem in that this was not possible.

In the automobile air conditioner having the above configuration, when the outside temperature is considerably high, the thermo switch wave is turned on, and when the air conditioner (2) is started at that time, the start detection switch (56) is activated. Current flows through the coil (59) and turns it on, the timer switch (5, υ turns on, current flows through the solenoid pulp (53) and it operates, and vacuum is supplied to the vacuum actuator (43), as shown in Figure 3. As shown, upward duct C32 to upward air outlet α2
A channel opening/closing door (4) is operated and held so as to close the channel No. 1. In other words, immediately after starting the air conditioner, the conditioned air is not blown out from the upward air outlet 02, and the air conditioned air guided to the main duct □□□ is directed to the front air outlet O.
It is blown out intensively from 0.

When the set time has elapsed, the timer switch (4) is turned off, so the current to the solenoid pulp (group) is stopped, the vacuum supply to the vacuum actuator (43) is cut off, and the flow path opening/closing door (4) is closed to the upward duct. ) It is inverted and held in a position that opens the flow path of C32. That is, the conditioned air guided to the main duct is also blown out from the upward outlet O2, thereby distributing the conditioned air throughout the vehicle interior. The set time of the timer switch (55) is set according to the performance of the air conditioner (2), etc.
