In the pursuit of compactness in this type of equipment,
The charging section and the developing section are provided relatively close to each other without any distance between them. Therefore, before the rear end of the electrostatic recording paper has fully passed through the charging section, the leading end faces the developing section.
That is, part of the electric charge charged from the charging head of the charging section is not grounded from the ground plate, but instead flows to the developing brush of the developing section and the developing guide provided opposite the developing brush using the recording paper as a medium. Therefore, in addition to the recorded image formed by the charging section, charges appear to be formed on the surface of the electrostatic recording paper facing the developing section, which attracts toner and causes fog. Insulating the development guide may be considered as a method for preventing fog development, but this has the disadvantage that fog occurs on the entire electrostatic recording paper, resulting in poor print contrast.

Another method is to vary the electrostatic properties of the electrostatic recording paper, ie, the dielectric layer and the low-resistance treatment layer, depending on the device, but this naturally has the disadvantage of increasing costs. The present invention was made based on the above circumstances, and its purpose is to prevent fogging of electrostatic recording paper and improve recording characteristics by increasing the distance between the charging section and the developing section and changing the structure of the charging section. The present invention aims to provide an improved electrostatic recording device.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a plurality of transport rollers 1a that carry in recording paper 2, which is an electrostatic recording material, from a paper feed section (not shown) and discharge it to a paper discharge section via a fixing section (not shown).・・・・・・
It is a conveyance path consisting of... A charging section 3 is provided in the middle of this conveyance path 1a, and this includes a charge head 4 having a pair of discharge sections on the conveyance path 1, and a charge head 4 that is separated and opposed to the discharge section of this charge head 4 with the conveyance path 1 in between. It consists of a ground plate 5 which is a ground body. The ground plate 5 is extended in the conveyance direction of the conveyance path 1, and is in contact with the conveyance rollers 1a and 1aVC. Further, a developing section 6 is provided on the conveying direction side of the charging section 2, and this developing section 6 has permanent magnets arranged on a cylindrical shaft, and a developing brush 7 that attracts developer powder to form a magnetic brush. It consists of a developing guide 8 provided sandwiching the conveying path 1. The developing guide 8 is made of an ordinary conductive material such as a metal material, and is grounded. On the other hand, the distance between the charging section 2 and the developing section 6, specifically the center distance L between the charging head 4 and the developing brush 7, is longer than the length 1 of the recording paper 2 in the transport direction. Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained.

Recording paper 2 is fed to conveyance path 1 from a paper feed section (not shown),
It is guided to the charging section 3 and a predetermined electrostatic recording latent image is formed.
Further, the recording paper 2 is led to a developing section 6, where it is rubbed by the tip of a developing brush 7 to visualize the electrostatic recording. Furthermore, when the leading end of the recording paper 2 begins to be rubbed by the developing brush 7, the trailing end is separated from the charge head 4, so that no charge flows through the recording paper 2 to the developing section 6. Furthermore, at this time, since the rear end of the recording paper 2 faces the ground plate 5, all charges applied to the recording paper 2 other than the electrostatic latent image escape from the developing guide 3 and the ground plate 5. No fogging occurs. As explained above, according to the present invention, the charging section overflows the conveying path for conveying the electrostatic recording material and is composed of a charging head and a grounding body, and the developing section is composed of a developing brush and a grounded developing guide. However, when the leading end of the electrostatic recording material faces the developing section, the rear end is separated from the charging head and the electrostatic recording material is positioned facing the ground body or the developing guide, so that the electrostatic recording material is not charged during charging. Charges do not escape to the developing section using the recording material as a medium. Therefore, fogging does not occur on the electrostatic recording material, and the recording characteristics can be stabilized, and the characteristics of the electrostatic recording material can be standardized without having to be set to values that match the device. It produces effects such as being able to do things.
