Conventionally, a plurality of drawer sections stack the signatures or printed books on a signature table, pull out seven sheets one by one from below, and feed them onto a conveyor below, and a plurality of drawer sections that stack the signatures or printed books on a signature table and feed them out onto a conveyor below, and the folded sheets or printed books that are pulled out in conjunction with the drawer sections. In a collating machine that sequentially moves books to form one continuous page book, when stacking one fold or a printed book on the folding table of each drawer, there is a possibility that the front and back sides may be stacked incorrectly or So-called misprints are likely to occur due to human work errors such as stacking the wrong folds or printed books that should be placed in the adjacent drawers, printing errors called ura-white, and folding errors during folding operations. In such cases, This naturally led to a high defective rate, and it sometimes occurred that the products were shipped without being sold, which posed serious problems related to major trust issues.

Next, the misprinted page detection device of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings. First, in Fig. 1 of the drawings, numeral 2 denotes folds stacked in an orderly manner on a table for analysis, and the suction cups 7a of the suction arm 7, which rotates in synchronization with the rotation axis j, pick up seven folds at a time, starting from the bottom row. It constitutes a collating machine which is guided downward, is gripped by the jaws of a rotating downward feeding drum t, is pulled out, and is fed onto a conveyor (not shown) below. Note that 3 is a rear guide of the signature table/.

Now, in this invention, the signature table/is constructed as a transparent or perforated signature table. That is, as shown in the figure, the signature table is made of a transparent plate and has a plurality of guide protrusions /a protruding from the surface so that the signatures 2 cannot be directly lined up on the transparent plate, as shown in No. 5IXJ. A signature table with a plurality of elongated holes /b directly drilled therein, like a regular table, or a plurality of receiving plates /d on a frame /C, like the one shown in Figure 6.
A signature table/Yx is used in which a plurality of master balls are formed by respectively constructing a plurality of boss balls. And the signature table above/
A light source for illuminating the signature 2 from below through the signature table is provided below, and an image sensor 9 is provided at an arbitrary position below the signature 2 (a location where it can be easily distinguished from other signatures). . The above-mentioned image sensor 9 has elements (bits) (photoelectric conversion elements) that convert light quantity into electrical quantity arranged side by side in a straight line as shown in Fig. 2, and a focusing lens // placed in front of them. With the configuration, if the lens // focuses on the object to be detected, the image of the detected part /2, then depending on the brightness of the image, each element will output a voltage signal proportional to the amount of incident light. It is supposed to be done. For example, set the field of view H to 30% and sno! Using element (bit) image sensor-9, slice between 5/2 bits 30'X at intervals of 005
The brightness and darkness between f is output as a voltage signal for each bit.

In addition, a slit plate/Hiro (or uneven plate) is fixed to the rotating shaft S, and as this rotates, a timing signal of the collating machine is captured by a detector/j (IJ Mitswitch, magnetic switch, photoelectric switch, etc.). The image sensor 7 is operated while the signature is stopped or when the signature is being pulled out. That is, the image sensor is operated in synchronization with the rotation of the collating device, and a voltage signal proportional to the amount of incident light is output from each element to the control section 3 according to the brightness and darkness of the image of the detected portion 12 of the signature 2. The conversion system is constructed as follows.

In addition, in FIG. 3, arrow A indicates time, arrow opening indicates voltage, a, (z indicates the scanning line in the controlled section/2, P indicates the human light section in the group of 10 image sensor elements, and S indicates the same as above). Furthermore, depending on the shape of the slit plate /l and the mounting type of the image sensor 9, the scanning line a can be run to various positions. For example, in the case of the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the image sensor sensor is installed so as to form a scanning line a perpendicular to the direction of movement of the signature 2, and detection is performed at several locations on the signature 2. In the case of the embodiment shown in Fig. g,
A case is shown in which the scanning line a is scanned at small intervals concentrating on a partial page or a heading picture part that is easily distinguishable from other signatures 2 in a signature 2. Furthermore, in the case of the embodiment in FIG. , a case is shown in which the image sensor 10 is installed so as to form a scanning line a parallel to the moving direction of the signature 2, and the image sensor 10 is detected at several locations on the signature 2.

In addition, in the above-mentioned drawing embodiment, the case where the image sensor 9 is used has been explained, but instead of the image sensor 9, a glass fiber tube /q used in a gastrocamera etc. The same thing can be done using an optical sensor 20 according to the invention. In the case of glass fiber, the brightness and darkness are reflected as they are, so post-processing is the same as with an image sensor, but depending on the machine, glass fiber tubes are advantageous when there is only a limited space. Although it is currently too expensive and not suitable for practical use, it is thought that a cheaper version will be available in the near future.

Next, to explain the operating state of this device, when the collating machine is operating, the detector 15 sends a timing signal of the collating machine to the control unit /3 by the rotation of the slit plate /l of the rotating shaft 5. When the signature 2 is stopped or pulled out, the image sensor 9 is activated, and the state of the focused portion is calculated by counting the number of light incident and non-light incident bits of each bit for each scanning line.
Compare the number of light-entering pieces and the number of non-light-entering pieces in the case of a good fold, and if it is within a preset variation range, it is determined to be a good wood.
In addition, if the setting variation exceeds the range, immediately stop the machine with a brake or a buzzer.
Second, the lamp/7 is used to issue an alarm.

A warning can be issued by means of a lamp, etc., and it has an excellent effect of correcting defects in the work of the collating machine and significantly improving the function of the collating machine. In particular, this invention uses an image sensor made of a photoelectric element that converts the amount of light into an amount of electricity, and operates the image sensor in synchronization with the rotation of the collating device to determine the brightness and darkness of the image of the detected part of the signature. The detection device outputs a voltage signal proportional to the amount of incident light from each of the above elements to the control section, and compares the amount of incident light with the amount of incident light for a well-folded page to detect irregular pages. This has the great effect of reliably and stably detecting irregular pages with extremely high sensitivity and precision, which responds quickly in response to the conversion output signal.
