Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a motor mounting base in its size and lower an over-all air-flow resistance, by mounting a fan motor at opposing flat portions formed at the top end of pair of reinforcing plates built in a heat exchanger in parallel with a fin. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 1 is mounted upon a base plate and provided with reinforcing plates 3, 4. Reinforcing plates 3, 4 are built in the heat exchanger in parallel with a fin 5, forming support pieces 3a, 4a which are elongated in the direction of air flow. The top ends of support pieces 3a, 4a are bent transversely each other to form opposing flat portions 3b, 4b with a fan motor mounting port 6 formed therebetween. This eliminates the need of mounting the fan motor at an air guider, resulting in that said air guider be made of inexpensive material. Further, the absence of reinforcing plate's flat portion in the way of air flow passage serves to lower the air flow resistance.
