Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily remove jammed paper from between a driving roller and a pressure roller by opening a guide member for forming a transport path when a jamming occurrs and clamping a transporting paper between the rollers to assuredly prevent the paper from dropping and scattering. CONSTITUTION:When a door 13 is opened to clear jamming, a guide plate (sheet guiding member) 20 is opened with the door 13 to enable removal of a jammed paper and remaining paper. In this case, an arm 30 collides with a stopper 32 on a L-fitting metal 28, so that the guide plate 20 will not project any more. On the other hand, the transporting paper is nipped between a driving roller 14 and a pressure roller 17 or between a driving roller 15 and a pressure roller 18 not to drop down. In such a condition, a jammed paper is removed against contact pressure of the pressure rollers 17, 18.
