往復運動部分の摩擦損失低減が必要であることは周知の
事実であり、この為ピストンリングにおいても各構成リ
ングの張力低減が要求されている。即ち、最近の内燃機
関用ピストンリング(特に鋼製相合Uオイルリング〉は
潤滑油制御0機能向上の為に高張力化、高面圧化が要求
される一方、往復運動部分の摩擦損失低減の為に低張力
