[Detailed Description of the Invention] Currently, road mirrors, which are widely used at road intersections, curved roads, etc., are essential equipment for ensuring the safety of automobiles and driving. b, and the function cannot be expressed. Early in the morning, the sun rises, the ground temperature rises rapidly, and air containing a lot of water vapor is generated. When this highly humid air comes into contact with the still-cool mirror surface of a road mirror, condensation occurs due to the temperature difference. This causes small water droplets to form on the mirror surface. The present invention is a mechanism for preventing this phenomenon. This will be explained in detail below.

As mentioned above, fogging occurs when dew condenses at the point of contact between a solid object and the atmosphere where there is a large temperature difference, and the water droplets form and remain on the mirror surface in such an amount that they cause diffuse reflection on the mirror surface. In order to prevent this diffused reflection, it is necessary to reduce the amount of water droplets generated on the mirror surface, or to spread the generated water droplets as uniformly over the surface as possible to prevent diffused reflection. At this time, the amount of water droplets generated is related to the latent heat of vaporization of the water vapor absorbed by the mirror surface from the highly humid atmosphere, so if the heat capacity of the entire mirror remains unchanged, it is necessary to minimize the amount of heat passing through the mirror surface. Specifically, it is necessary to use a material for the mirror surface that has low thermal conductivity.

The figure is a longitudinal sectional view of the bell portion of the road mirror according to the present invention. A specific example of a hydrophilic treatment method for the light-reflecting side of a mirror body 1, which is an ordinary metal mirror or a glass mirror with a metal thin film attached to the back surface of the glass, is 0. /10,0 under a vacuum of about Torr
A low-temperature plasma method in which a high-frequency voltage of about 00H2 is applied and carbon dioxide is used as the processing gas is suitable, but in addition, various types of surface hydrophilic treatment can be carried out in a support frame S and further attached with a support. However, as shown in the figure, it is desirable that the support frame S has an open structure as much as possible to ensure sufficient contact and heat exchange between the back side of the mirror and the atmosphere, as shown in the figure. The opening 6 shown in is provided for this purpose.
