DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention aims to simplify the exterior of a dry-type metallized film capacitor, thereby improving productivity, shortening the process, and reducing costs. A safety type dry-type metallized film capacitor with a built-in safety function or built-in safety device, in which an electrode is formed by providing an insulating margin at the top of the capacitor, and the insulating margin is wound in layers so that the insulating margin faces each other. By covering the layers with a moisture permeation prevention plate and covering the circumferential surface of the wound capacitor element with a thermoplastic insulating material to create a sealed structure, productivity is improved and the process is shortened. It is.

Conventionally, the most common method for the exterior of dry metallized film capacitors is to encase the capacitor element in a polyester case and inject and harden the resin, but although this method has good withstand voltage and moisture resistance, it has drawbacks. As a result, there was little freedom in terms of dimensions, and as a result of rationalization of production, costs increased. Also, JP-A-57-121218
As described in the publication, the tape exterior is not unreasonable in production even if the capacitor capacity is different, but it is necessary to wrap a lot of windings in order to obtain the thickness of the exterior. Misalignment and wrinkles occur, leading to a decline in yield and workability. Furthermore, although the process is simple for products with a resin exterior, there is a large variation in the exterior thickness, especially the difference in wall thickness between the flat part and the end face of the capacitor element. This requires time and reduces workability. In addition, the above-mentioned packaging method requires additional resin curing time because it goes through a resin injection curing process, making it difficult to shorten the process.

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the main parts of a dry-type metallized film capacitor element equipped with a safety function. A capacitor element 4 is obtained by winding the capacitor element 4 so that the margins 2 face each other, a conductive layer 5 is formed on both end surfaces of the capacitor element 4 by metal spraying, and a lead wire 6 is attached. Thereafter, a metal moisture permeation prevention plate 7 was attached, and the outer side of the plate was covered with a cylindrical thermoplastic insulating material 8 and thermally welded to form a sealed structure. 9 is a welded part.

Furthermore, since multiple insulating grooves 3 are provided in the width direction of the metallized film, even in the event of an accident with the capacitor,
Due to the short-circuit current at that time, only the portion separated by the insulating groove 3 is released from the circuit by scattering of the vapor-deposited metal near the conductive layer 5, so that no ignition or smoke occurs, and the capacitor can continue to be used. For this reason, it is difficult to ensure that safety is sufficiently ensured even with the above-mentioned simple exterior, and that it also improves productivity and shortens the process.

Further, although the moisture permeability prevention plate 7 is made of a metal plate, any other moisture permeation prevention material consisting of one layer or multiple layers of rubber, rubber plate, plastic sheet, etc. can achieve the object of the present invention. In addition, the moisture permeation prevention plate 7 and the thermoplastic insulating material 8 may be sealed by adhesive other than heat welding, and as shown in FIG. and the conductive layer 5.

As described above, the present invention enables a rational exterior design regardless of the capacity of the capacitor, and since it does not include a resin curing process, it is possible to significantly improve productivity and shorten the process. It is economically advantageous and has great industrial and practical value.
