Sandwich panels using honeycomb cores have traditionally been used for the purpose of reducing the weight of furniture, fittings, and building materials. The structure is a flat plate made of a band-shaped base material made of bent paper, metal foil, resin thin plate, etc. The core is a honeycomb structure, and a top plate made of wood, metal, or resin is laminated to the parallel end faces formed by connecting the cell openings of the honeycomb structure that makes up the core, creating a lightweight and durable panel. It is something.

The purpose of a honeycomb structure is to reduce its weight, so the thickness of the thin plate-like base material that makes up the honeycomb structure must be as thin as possible. It approximates a linear shape, meaning that the adhesive strength is extremely small5, which is a drawback of sandwich panels using honeycomb cores. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a honeycomb-like structure used as a honeycomb core, in which a synthetic resin adhesive having a water resistance and moisture resistance of 10 is applied to the end face where the cell openings are connected, and the adhesive The agent is flexible and
In the adhesive state, a film having a large number of small holes is bonded and pressed to the end surface coated with the adhesive, and the adhesive is dried and solidified to form cell partition walls on the end surface of the honeycomb-like structure. By forming a flat adhesive surface that spreads along the film bonding surface, this method provides an edge treatment method that obtains a lightweight core with strong adhesive strength to the top plate. The resulting sandwich panel using the honeycomb core is expected to be lightweight and have remarkable structural strength because the bond between the core and the top plate is strong.

FIG. 1 shows an example of an apparatus for implementing the honeycomb core end face treatment method according to the present invention, in which a core material 1 made of a stretched honeycomb-like structure is sent out in the direction of the arrow by a supply roll 2. Application rolls 4 of coating devices 3, 3 such as roll coaters disposed above and below the running track provide water and moisture resistance 30 to the upper and lower end surfaces formed by connecting the cell openings of the core material 1. A solution of adhesive is applied.

The number of coating devices 3 can be increased or decreased depending on the solution to be coated and the number of times. Films 5, 5 having many small holes are supplied to the upper and lower end surfaces of the core material 1 coated with adhesive, respectively, in synchronization with the advancing speed of the core material 1, and are laminated and crimped by a hook roll 35 and a roll 6. Ru. The adhesive applied to the end face of the core material 1 loses its fluidity as the solvent evaporates, forming adhesive layers 7, 7 on the edges of the cell partition walls as shown in Figure 2a. The adhesive layers 7, 7, which have flexibility and tackiness due to the films 5, 5 being bonded and pressure-bonded to both end surfaces of 1, have a tackiness and a pressure bonding force of the adhesive roll. As shown in FIG. 2b, it spreads along the surfaces of the films 5, 5, forming a flat and wide adhesive surface to the films 5, 5.

A large number of small holes are previously punched in the films 5, 5 by hole punching devices 8, 8, and the adhesive adhesion layer 7,
Since solvent evaporation from 7 is promoted, drying and solidification of the adhesive proceeds evenly and quickly. In the figure, 9 is a rewinding device for the film 5, and 10 is a guide roll for the film. Further, a seal cut device 11 is provided in front of the pasting roll 6, which heat-seals the upper and lower films 5, 5 to each other and cuts the fused portion immediately after the trailing edge of the supplied core material 1 passes through. The hole punching device 8 can be a combination of a needle roll and a needle guide roll, or one based on an electric discharge method, and instead of being installed in conjunction with the pasting process as in this embodiment, a film winding device that has been punched in advance is used. In this case, this hole punching device 8 is not necessary. Third

The solvent may be an organic solvent or water, and it is necessary to evaporate at room temperature or heat to easily dry and solidify the adhesive, and to maintain the adhesive's flexibility and tackiness by imparting viscosity to the solution for a certain period of time. It is. If the same end face is coated two or more times, the second coat spreads more easily than the first coat, so the amount of the second coat can be increased to effectively spread the adhesive surface. Examples of honeycomb cores whose end faces have been treated according to the present invention are as follows.

The coating amount is 150 g/Trl on one side, and as shown in FIG. 3, the film 5 is adhered to the adhesion layer 7 formed with adhesive on the end face of the core material 1, and the width of the adhesion surface is 1.5 to 2. It has reached 5mm. After the honeycomb core with such end face treatment was left for one month, a 0.6 mm zinc steel plate was hot pressed at 120°C for 10 minutes at a pressure of 1.5 kg as a top plate.
Comparing the adhesive strength of the sandwich panel (Fig. 4) bonded with f/CIL (147 kpa) to that of the untreated end surface, the normal tensile adhesive strength is doubled, and the moisture-resistant tensile adhesive strength (at room temperature, 100 kpa) is

2 A viscosity of 15000C was applied to the end face of the roll core equivalent to Example 1.

The coating amount was 1,509/l per side, and the adhesive surface of the film 5 of the adhesion layer 7 shown in FIG. 3 had a width of 1.5 to 2.5 mm. After the honeycomb core with such end face treatment was left for one month, the polyethylene film was peeled off and the top plate was used as a top plate.
Comparing the tensile adhesion strength of a sandwich panel (Fig. 5) in which 2009/d water-based vinyl urethane is coated on mI veneer and bonded by cold pressure to form another adhesive layer 13 with that of an untreated end surface, normal tensile adhesion is observed. The strength was doubled, and the moisture-resistant tensile adhesive strength was tripled. Example 3 A butyral-modified phenolic resin adhesive was applied to the end face of a roll core similar to that of Example 1 to a viscosity of 15,000C. P(15
Immediately after applying the adhesive maintained at a constant temperature of pa-s twice using a roll coater, a modified polyethylene film of 50 μm with needle holes of 0.311 mm in diameter spaced at intervals of 5 ml was attached and left at room temperature for 2 days.

The amount of coating is 180f on one side! The adhesive surface of the film 5 of the adhesive layer 7 shown in FIG. 3 has a width of 2.0 to 3.0 mm. One honeycomb core with such end face treatment
After being left for several months, a 0.6U1 galvanized steel plate was hot pressed at 160℃ for 30 minutes as a top plate at a pressure of 1.5kgf/C.
The sandwich panel bonded at 147 kpa had extremely high tensile adhesion strength, 100 (!) core breakage, strong heat resistance, and could be used for structural purposes. As described above, by applying the honeycomb core end face treatment method according to the present invention, the sandwich panel using the core has an extremely large adhesion area between the top plate and the core, and therefore has high tensile adhesive strength, especially moisture-resistant tensile adhesive strength. This is significantly superior to the case where the end surface is untreated, and when the top plate is made of metal, it does not come into direct contact with the core, resulting in less corrosion and good durability.
