Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive resin compsn. exhibiting remarkable stain- preventing effect when it is used for relief printing by incorporating a specified amt. of specified nonionic type fluorocarbon surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin compsn. contains 0.001-5wt% nonionic type fluorocarbon surfactant having 4-14C perfluoroalkyl group, such as (2- perfluorooctylethylpolyoxypropyleneether-carbamyl)-polyoxyethylenecarb amyltoluene or perfluoroisopropoxypropyl-silsesquioxane. When its content is less than 0.001wt%, its effect is made poor, and when it is over 5wt%, ink repellency is made too strong and photographic printing effect is deteriorated.

In recent years, newspaper printing plates have been replaced by resin letterpress printing from the conventional lead printing plates. Resin relief printing is made by irradiating a composition called a photosensitive resin with actinic rays through a negative film to cure the photosensitive resin, and then forming a letterpress image by performing *S by various means. It is something that Although resin letterpress printing plates are well recognized for their advantages in terms of workability and printing effectiveness due to their light weight, they generally suffer from undesirable stains (hereinafter referred to as "stains") on the halftone dots, especially on the photographic surface, during printing. It has the disadvantage that it is easy to cause stains (referred to as dirt). The mechanism by which this stain occurs is not fully clear, but the phenomenon is that during printing, ink and paper dust accumulates in the so-called valleys (concave areas) of the relief, eventually resulting in normal halftone dots (photo).
This leads to stains that impair quality.

Conventionally, in order to prevent this staining, a resin board has been previously treated with a treatment agent made by dissolving silicone oil in a hydrocarbon solvent or a water/oil repellent for fibers. However, since the former is easily dissolved in ink, it lacks durability;
Smearing occurs after printing 3,000 copies, and the latter does not become effective unless it is completely heat-kineered after release, and its durability is not necessarily satisfactory. Smudges occur after printing.

This object of the present invention is achieved by a photosensitive resin composition containing 0.001 to 5% by weight of a nonionic fluorocarbon surfactant having a perfluoroalkyl group (C1 to C14 carbon atoms). The resin letterpress made from the photosensitive resin composition of the present invention exhibits a remarkable stain prevention effect (increase in the number of copies that can be printed without staining). No operation is required; it can be used for printing simply by attaching it to a rotary press.

If it is less than 0.001% by weight, the effect is poor, and 5% by weight.
Exceeding this is economically disadvantageous, and the ink repellency becomes too strong, resulting in poor photographic printing effects. From the perspective of stain prevention, anionic, cationic, or amphoteric ionic carbide fluorine surfactants are also effective;
Generally, these ionic materials have a stability of 1 to 1 when prepared as a photosensitive resin composition, and
In the case of a liquid photosensitive resin composition, it is easy to cause thickening or calcification, and in the case of a solid photosensitive resin, the current level is 1#! This can easily lead to disabilities such as disability.
